Heads up! Cheap Pinkfest transportation to Chicago ...

This may be of interest to those who need some budgetary leverage to make Pinkfest.

I would definitely consider this, had I not already paid for the air fare to Pinkfest.

Megabus has just expanded their service to Omaha and other locations. This is a new company (in the US) and a fierce competitor to Greyhound/Trailways. They offer realistic schedules and very low prices.

That's the good news. The bad news is that they do not offer through service to all points on their map yet.

They do offer service to/from Chicago from most points in the upper Midwest plus some lower Midwest and mid-south points such as Kansas City, St. Louis, and Memphis. Fares are as low as $1.00 each way, and I checked several points and found no fare higher than $30.

This may be an inexpensive and convenient alternative for those in the service cities.
