First of all, I would suggest announcing very conspicuously that the SBS
Social is an inclusive activity, open to all, not a recruiting drive,
etc., you know, all of that stuff that you do announce at DLV but which
some people don't seem to understand. :) :)
If the object is to get a good turnout, particularly from those who
would not otherwise do Pinkfest, I would suggest something that occurs
not within normal working hours, and in a place that is generally known
as being T-friendly.
I can't think of a better option that Ann Sathers. Saturday evening
eliminates the "I gotta work" and "not enough time to get ready after
work" excuses in most cases. It's also regarded as a very nonthreatening
venue, yet not secluded.
Perhaps the Happy Half Hour could be expanded to a BYO full hour and
that part could be the official SBS Social?
