Down to the wire:

One week to go!

Queries and registrations are still coming in. If you want to attend and
have not registered or made arrangements, there is time, but not that
much. :) Here's what you need to do:

1. Register for DLV. http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/reg.html

Deadline for registration is this coming Saturday, shortly after
midnight, Central Daylight Time.

2. Make your travel and hotel arrangements. As of a few days ago, both
Sahara and Tropicana still had rooms for the DLV week, but they were not
cheap. You might also check with on-line services such as Travelocity.

If you have trouble finding a room, or a room you can afford, you might
try the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors authority at 1-877-VISITLV as
they will know who has rooms available.

3. Make your activity selections. You will receive a personalized activity
sign-up mailing within a few days of your registration. Everybody who
registered by Saturday afternoon should have received this by now. Those
who registered after Saturday afternoon will receive this Monday.

4. Show up and have a great time. :)

If there are any questions or concerns, or if there are any items that
you have written in about and received no response, please let us know.

Large Final Mailing:

This coming Wednesday, April 16, we will be sending what Michelle calls
the "War And Peace" mailing to all who have registered as of that time.

This large final mailing contains the following:

. Final detailed schedule for DLV 2003. Dates, times, locations, where
to find the group at the facility, etc.

. Explicitly detailed driving directions to each activity.

. Link to a map of facilities and photos of several of them.

. General dress guidelines for DLV and specific dress suggestions for
each activity.

. Ride-share lists of drivers and riders.

. Local contact information.

. Review of our Conditions Of Participation (yeah yeah, I know ...)

. Your own personal confirmation and itinerary, with a detailed list of
what you are signed up for.

If you have registered for DLV and have completed your activity
selections, and do not receive this (or parts are missing) by this
coming Thursday, be sure to write in (dlv@geekbabe.com) and say so.

Limo Tour update:

After re-doing the math for the upcoming limo tour, we need to adjust
the price so we can get the tour we want, with the refreshments we want,
without anybody taking a bath financially.

The price for the limo tour will be $30 per person, which INCLUDES
liquid refreshments. (The previously-announced price did not include
said refreshments.) These will be stocked in the limos at pick-up time,
to there will be no time lost going to the local boozatorium, and more
time to visit our favorite stops.

We hope this is acceptable to everybody.

Big thanks to Monique for organizing the limo tour, and thanks to
Leeanna and Cindy for handling the refreshments!

Deadlines and cutoffs:

(This will be the last notice of deadlines and cutoffs that you will
receive prior to DLV 2003.

We're just one week and two days from DLV 2003. Time is getting tight if
you want to still get in on things. Here's a summary of deadlines that
are fast approaching:

(In chronological order)

Monday, April 14, 12:01am CDT is the deadline for additions and changes
to the DLV 2003 e-mail directory. This will be the last edition of this
that will be sent out prior to DLV 2003.

Monday, April 14, 12:01am CDT is also the deadline for any material that
is to be sent out with the large final mailing to registered DLV people.
Yes, if you sell Mary Kay (or whatever) we will announce you.

Wednesday, April 16, 12:01am CDT is the cutoff for additions and changes
to ride-share lists (main registration screen).

Saturday, April 19, 12:01am CDT is the cutoff for regular DLV
registration via the web. Those registering after will receive "last
minute instructions" which will allow partial participation in some DLV
activities.

This is also the deadline for all changes to registrations, including
activity sign-ups and changes to activities via the web. (That clickable
link you received in e-mail.) Changes after that date must be made in
person at DLV.

Saturday, April 19, 6:00pm Central Time, is the deadline for all
material to be included in our regular mailings prior to DLV.

Monday, April 21, 1:00am Central Time is the cutoff for all DLV e-mail
that reqires a response prior to DLV. All mail received after will be
held until after DLV.

Monday, April 21, 1:00am Central Time is the also the start of a
suspension of the DLV 2003 Discussion List. All mail received for this
list after this time will be held and posted after DLV 2003.

24 hours prior to any activity: Unless otherwise listed below, 24 hours
before any activity for which your sign-up is considered a reservation,
is the deadline for cancellation.

Wednesday, April 23, 6:00am Pacific Time is the deadline for
cancellation and for payment for the Jubilee show. Those on the waiting
list may inquire Wednesday to see if tickets are available. More detail
available in prior mailings.

Thursday, April 24, 6:00am Pacific Time is the deadline for cancellation
and for payment for the Limo Tour. Those on the waiting list may inquire
Thursday to see if space is available. More detail available in prior
mailings.

Thursday, April 24, (at any DLV activity) is the deadline for
cancellations for the High Tea on Sunday. Those on the waiting list
may inquire Friday to check if space is available.

Friday, April 25, (at HH, dinner, mixer) is the last day for advance
purchase of discounted Showgirl Of Magic tickets. After Friday, tickets
(if available) must be purchased at the San Remo box office for the
retail price.

Activity dates:

A number of people have signed up for actvities that take place either
before their arrival date on their registration or after their departure
date.

If this is the case with you, this will be conspicuously flagged in the
personal itinerary you get with the large final mailing this week.
Please make adjustments as necessary to either your arrival/departure
dates or your activity selections.

Hidden Woman activities:

All Hidden Woman activities (Open House, Wig Styling, Comportment) will
go on as scheduled, operating from temporary facilities in the Sahara
Hotel. Suite numbers and directions will be posted in the large final
mailing this Wednesday.

Monday dinner:

For those in town on Monday, Monique has proposed we get together at
Milano's (small Italian place) prior to the Spotlight Lounge. Details of
this will be in the LFM. Very good food! (Ask for the Rubber Chicken).

Registration:

DEADLINE FOR GENERAL REGISTRATION (full DLV participation) IS SATURDAY,
APRIL 19, 12:01AM CDT. Those registering after this time will receive
last-minute registration instructions, which will allow limited
participation in some DLV activities.

The Confirmation Number you get when you register will be your password
