dlv Call For Volunteers comments ...

I joined the ORG group after a one night out trip to DLV in 2002 last
year during my very early stages so that I could find out more about DLV
and thought that getting involved a little with the planning of it would
help me to be more confident etc' and hopefully provide some input from
a less than experienced point of view.

Then one day I wrote and suggested a shopping trip to Primm Valley
Fashion Mall which is a bit of a departure from the crowded Vegas malls
as it is not too busy there and is located on the California border 25
minutes from town, To which Annie replied "OK you're elected" I was a
little taken by surprise by this as I was relatively new to the scene
but after some thought I decided to do agree to do it as it was a good
chance to enhance my own image and help out with something which had
been a big help to me a year earlier and it turned out to be something
quite special. Some of the more experienced girls came along to ease
the tension and along with some other "new to shopping girls" we had a
really nice afternoon out.

I guess what I am trying to say is "don't be afraid to step up to the
plate and take a swing at the ball because as we all eventually find out
it feels really good to be part of something like this and you will most
definitely make some terrific new friends and get to do something you
want to do in the process.

And "YES" I would like to be a volunteer again next year!
