The way I understand it, from reading the press release,
is that the Tunis and Alexandria towers would be closed
temporarily over the holidays due to lack of occupancy,
and then re-opened as business picks up in the spring.
Occupancy in LV is way down this year. As of a few days
ago, only one major hotel (Flamingo) was actually sold
out for New Years Eve.
I wouldn't be too concerned about getting a room this
April for DLV. The forecast is for a "glut" of rooms
at rates equal to or lower in price than what we had
in 2009 for DLv.
