The way I understand it, from reading the press release,
is that the Tunis and Alexandria towers would be closed
temporarily over the holidays due to lack of occupancy,
and then re-opened as business picks up in the spring.

Occupancy in LV is way down this year. As of a few days
ago, only one major hotel (Flamingo) was actually sold
out for New Years Eve.

I wouldn't be too concerned about getting a room this
April for DLV. The forecast is for a "glut" of rooms
at rates equal to or lower in price than what we had
in 2009 for DLv.

Well, if you think back to DLV 2009, the Sahara Buffet was
open for dinner only. We've always had at least one LWG at
the Sahara, but did not do it last year due to this.

I also noticed that article referenced the closing BUFFET as something
they did every year during the slow / low season.

Maybe it will be open by next April again as usual???
