Margeth has quite the pooch in her older days but manages just fine as
an older lady that loves Corona. My suggestion is to dress appropriately
(as annie suggested) and just enjoy yourself. There are days that I hate
the weight I have put on since surgery, however, I have to cut myself
some slack from time to time.

Just go out and enjoy and be who you really are. One word of caution; if
you have a propensity to wear short blouses (which I would not recommend
with a gut like mine), DO NOT drink Galiano! It might make you want to
dance and that would be scary on my part ;-)

Great advice from some of the ladies on fashion, but I would
also like to add one very simple suggestion that could help
out in a number of ways. Cut out all drinks and foods that use
high fructose corn syrup! My experience has been that one can
lose 10 pounds easy if you change nothing else but that. Studies
have shown that HFCS really affects the metabolism and the body's
ability to burn fat. Start by switching to plain water instead of
sodas (yes including "diet" sodas!) or fruit flavored drinks
(Lemonade, punch, etc). Not only does this eliminate hundreds
of calories a day from your diet, but it allows your body to
process and burn the calories you do take in better. I'm no
nutritionist of course, but it's worked for pretty much everybody
I have suggested it too!

Hugs,
Cindy

My former brother-in-law was on that same diet, Optifast, and when I saw
after he'd been on it, I thought he was dying of cancer or some dreaded
disease. He looked terribly skinny and wasted but it worked for him. I
was thinking of going on it also.

Happy New Year Girls,

Thank you so much for the support. I really want to start the New Year
with the new me. Thanks so much for the kind words that all of you have
shared especially you Rosada. I am starting to believe that I can be the
girl that I want to be. I will try to get to Diva this year, I do want
to party with all of you once again. I know that my sister-in-law Rosada
has stepped into her new world and I am so proud of her. She is the
example of how to enjoy life as a girl. I know that I can do it now,
thanks to all of you.

Aloha
Bobbie
