Here is an alert that I have not seen before -- The Chicago Marathon is
Saturday, October 12, starting from Grant Park, sorry I was not able to
find the starting times, but the full route opens to vehicular traffic
after 6 hours and 30 minutes, but in rolling segments parts will open
earlier. We may need to take this into account for activity planning.
First I am very much for seeing Evil Dead and looking forward to it, but
here are some additional suggestions should we want more than one major
entertainment/cultural event.

3:30 pm Sunday Apollo Theater - Million Dollar Quartet - Now in its
eighth year in Chicago, the smash-hit musical inspired by the famed
recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis
Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for one night
only is still drawing in audiences. As of 2013, it is Chicago's longest
running show! Be prepared to rock out to classics from the Quartet such
as "Blue Suede Shoes", "Fever," "That's All Right," "Sixteen Tons,"
"Great Balls of Fire," "Walk the Line," "Folsom Prison Blues," and
"Hound Dog,
