It is not a bad idea to look at the pictures on the website (
http://www.poledancinglasvegas.net/index.html) to see what people are wearing. While I don't think most of us could pull off the skimpier outfits, we have other advantages: relatively long legs and more upper body strength. Dress for your body type and show off your assets. This is a private party so you can be more daring.
A few more shoe suggestions. Ideally these should be comfortable snug heels with a back so they don't fall off. One website suggests avoiding heels with pointed toes but I never find those comfortable anyway. Hopefully these are older shoes that you have worn before and know won't kill you.
As for the moves, the instructor will try to adapt the lessons to our comfort level. For the first class expect to work on how you strut around the pole, some floor work (think sexy yoga), and some simpler spins. For more advanced moves you need skin to stick to the pole, but it is ok to wear pants for a beginner class (think yoga or workout pants) . I would mostly recommend pants for people with sensitive knees as you may be kneeling down and the pants may help cushion against the wooden floor. Finally bring a towel and some water to drink.
I will be arriving at DLV on Sunday. If anyone has last minute questions or wants to do last-minute shopping my cell phone should be on the coordinator list. If you have any specific physical, logistical, or fashion concerns, contact me so I can make sure everyone has fun.
