As many of you know we had a crowd of well over 100 Monday evening! One of our best turnouts in our history.

I hope everyone enjoyed it. I certainly did. We're off to a great start!

Big thanks to Cynthia for making the arrangements!

I would like to encourage all to fully participate in the goings-on for the rest of the week.

Hey Annie!

I wish I could be there! I just started a new job as an application
software specialist and they have me knee deep in Drupal for our
employee portal. I am also preparing to begin teaching at the
University of Phoenix so things have been hectic. I hope you all have a
great time and don't forget to have a Galiano for me! Enjoy!

You were with us in spirit. Your ears should have been burning last night!

It's amazing that the small gathering we had back in 1997 has grown into what we have today. This year's group is super! All very nice people.

The Artisan does not serve Galiano [sic] but I did observe someone you know having a HW last night at Hard Rock. Unfortunately the one near and dear to me who used to trick me into drinking it is not with us.

But as I said, when you return (not "if" but "when") I will gladly toast the occasion with a shot of, yes, Galiano [sic].

Drupal is an extremely powerful tool! It has a hard learning curve but if you master it and have a good eye for graphics, you can pretty much write your own ticket and run circles around those who specialize in the "J-word" framework. (Ask Drupal aficionados if you don't get that.)

I've considered it for some rewrites of some legacy sites. (Sorry to hijack this into techie talk.)

Anyway, keep in touch and make plans for DLV 2014!

Thanks Annie! And I do understand the J word, although I have been
fortunate to not have to deal with it thus far. I tried to get to the
Florida Drupal Camp this weekend but, as I am on probation still, I will not
make it this year, Interesting as this would have helped me help the
organization. Oh well, my supervisor will attend and she is as lost as I am
and she has been there for two years. LOL.

Enjoy and I will make it at some point. I am impressed with how you have
kept it all going these many years. Promise me that the next time I attend
you will meet me at McCarron with a sign like you did the first time. :)

It's actually been self-sustaining. We reached the critical mass by the third year or so and kinda snowballed. The past 3-4 years have been kind of a smoothing-out and stabilizing period where we've had very few issues and everyone gets along great!

Sorry I missed you this year, crazy schedule, but got to mix fun and work
for the one event I did. Shooting went well, I think. I'm still a bit
