Hi Everyone!

I am very interested in attending this year!

Can anyone that has attended in past years please post their experiences
and highlights.

What were some of your favorite events and why?

Thanks!

> What were some of your favorite events and why?

The past few years, one of my favorites has been the limo tour. It's a
true "rolling party" and a lot of fun.

I've also enjoyed the various side trips very much, last year to Area
51, and before to Red Rock Canyon and Valley Of Fire and such.

This year we're gonna have a side trip to Rhyolite, which is an
authentic ghost town, plus one other (not to let any cats out of
bags) surprise side trip for a very unique happy hour and photo op.

I also enjoy the various low-key strictly social get-togethers, such
as the Annual Mixer, Welcome Celebration, where you can just have a few
drinks, shoot the bull, and get to know the others.

Those are some of my favorites, anyway. :)

Have you checked out the DLV web page? www.geekbabe.com/dlv

There is a LOT of stuff there. You could spend the whole day browsing
it. Somewhere there is a long summary that I wrote, maybe 2000 or 2001.

[ Moderator's note: Densie's summary she mentioned is at the URL:

The limo tour was started in 2001 with 8 ladies...ummm...7 ladies and
one very handsome escort, in 2001.

>From what I remember, Annie is the one perpetuating the continuation of
the Limo Tour, because I believe she, or is that Densie, is still
looking for Lester. :)

The suprise side trip should be very fun, assuming the coordinator's
planning doesn't go a-fowl....er, afoul, and doesn't have a
wranch... wrench thrown into the works. :)

And, don't forget the free drinks Annie owes for all the bets she loses.

Maybe both of you still have a chance. Rumor goes that he's attracted
to nuns with glasses. :)

I don't think he lives anywhere, but we know from last year where he
spends his time, as the blow-by-blow summary states ...

+Refreshments were already in the limos, but one limo didn't have enough
+so we stopped by a liquor store on Wino Alley, somewhere near Main and
+Bridger I would guess. Densie recognized Lester and said she would take
+off her glasses if Lester would join us for the remainder of the tour.

+She took hers off, I kept mine on, glasses that is, and Lester climbed
+in. Lester had fun playing with the radios and sniffing the fumes from
+the empty bottles.

>>loses.

Licorice? Anisette, maybe? Sambuca?

I would beware more of Densie's that they say taste more like banana, but
in actuality taste like a mixture of vodka and Robitussin. :)

Surprise side trip sounds like a great idea!

I love the limo tour too... the attendance has always been good and
everyone is in a party mood.

I'm looking forward to the boat tour this year. Taking a commercial
tour is destined to work out a lot better than dragging our own boat up
there, although we did have fun the first time when just Tony and I went
out. The view from the other side of the dam is interesting.

Getting together in small groups for late-night gambling and harassing
Mike at the coffee shop has always been another of my favorites.

Oh, I'm sure that Sr. Densie, RSM, could get into the habit! :)

Aw, now you gave it away! We're going to a chicken ranch in Fort Worth,
aren't we?

Beware of Annie's free drinks that taste like licorice.

My mistake and send apologies. Yes, there were 6 ladies, 2 handsome
men, and the best limo driver in LV on the first and most unforgettable
Limo Tour.
