Talk on the chat boards does confirm that rates are on the rise.

Lately both the Flamingo and Harrah's have been showing somewhat lower rates than the Imperial Palace or Quad, whatever they prefer it to be called now.

$179 ($30 per night) is unusually low, even for last year at the IP. I'm finding that Bally's, where I stayed last year, is about 15% higher.

DLV Hotel rates 2013

Hey all,

I know the recommended hotels doesnt come till next month sometime but I
was checking out rates of prior hotels and my god, they are triple if
not quadrupled from the past years. I am finding that Mon, Tues and Wed
are almost being treated like the weekend pricing so something must be
going on there for the rates to be jacked up that high. I checked my
bank card from last year and I paid 179.20 for 6 nights at the Imperial
Palace for my room and this year, the lowest rate there is $500.00 plus
tax for the week. I copied this right off my online banking.

DB DEBIT / IMPERIAL PALACE FRONT LAS VEGAS NV auth# 944449 $179.20

Caesars is $3000.00 and all the others seem to land in the middle. Has anyone found better "on the strip" prices?...I know off strip there are better deals.

Thanks

Cass

Annie,

It was like $22 a night and then 60+ on Friday. I got that kind of a
rate both years since its during the week. Just weird how much higher
they are this time... Idid find Palace Station is about $32 a night but
that is off the strip a bit down by the Stratosphere.

Jame...where are you finding that rate at the Flamingo?..Their site
shows $430.00 and up including Friday...not sure if this link will work
but here is where I find it.

Hang on to your hats (or wigs) girls. I just booked my hotel for DLV 2013 and got a great deal. Because the airline I travel on that gives me great rates but doesn't fly on Saturdays to LV, I have to extend my stay until Sunday after DLV. so I am booked from Sunday April 14-Sunday April 21 at Harrahs. Are you ready for the rate? $132... for the entire week! Because I extended and included both Friday and Saturday night I was comped FIVE nights! I am only paying for the weekend (Friday and Saturday) at $66 each of those nights. The rest of the week is FREE.
I tried putting in Sunday thru Saturday and the rate went up big time. But by staying till Sunday when I can get a cheap return flight I was able to get those great rates on the hotel.
Check it out. Play around with the number of nights and see what you can do. I talked to some others that are going out just prior to DLV and they also got several comp nights.
Of course many of you are saying "but I am leaving on Saturday"... just get a reservation until Sunday and go ahead and leave on Saturday. They won't know you aren't staying in the room Saturday night and since it's prepaid you don't have to worry about checking out... just leave whenever you wish. The room is still yours until Sunday even if you don't use it. Plus you get a fantastic deal.
See you in April.

I would have been all for such a deal but it doesn't come through.
Sunday through Saturday comes out to $510. Sunday through Sunday is even
higher. If you can think of something I'm doing wrong, please let me
know.

Knowing where Beverly flies out of, it's probably Allegiant, which is about the only one which does not have regular daily flights on their routes.

Allegiant pulled out of our area a few years ago. I've used them several times, but not for DLV. My big gripe about Allegiant is that their return flights all seem to take off much too early in the morning!
