T-girls

Not sure if this belongs in this list but I have a question maybe some
one can answer.

I went out to a club in Las Vegas (GoodTimes now closed) decided to
talk to some of the t-girls there. Some were friendly but most were
unfriendly and bitchy. I couldn't figure out what was up with them.
Were they racist (I'm Latino/a), in a bad mood, or where they mad of
how I looked? I heard on a TV show that T-girls are bitchy to other
T-girls. Is that the answer? If that is so why?

Are you sure this was Goodtimes? I've heard nothing about it closing.
Your description ("the t-girls there") and the attitude sounds more like
the Las Vegas Lounge. I've also heard nothing of LVL closing.

Goodtimes is/was right across the lot from the Liberace Museum at
Trop and Spencer. Las Vegas Lounge is/was behind Commercial Center on
Karen Ave.

It all depends. I've never observed anybody at Goodtimes to ever be
unfriendly. When I've been there alone waiting for somebody, it seems
like I've always struck up a conversation with somebody at the bar or
one of the regulars.

At LVL, I have noticed more of an attitude.

I doubt if it's racist or ethnicist. Nasty people are usually nasty in a
very non discriminatory manner. :)

Drag queens have a reputation of being catty and bitchy. T-people in
general are not catty and bitchy, but unfortunately some are. It may be
a question of nomenclature and semantics as to who was said to be bitchy
on that show.

I will say that the DLV people, with very rare exception, are not at
all catty or bitchy. Most everybody is very friendly and outgoing.
