I think that's a wonderful plan, Katie! A year is too long to wait for the kind of fun DLV provides us girls! But, I also love the SCC in Atlanta. It's in Sep., so that may be a conflict for a few of us. However, it's NOTHING like DLV! Which is much more of a "push u out of your closet" event. And, there's no place in the world with venues like Vegas!

Katie

I enjoyed DLV so much that I would love to have another one in the fall. This was my first DLV and I cannot wait until the next one

Hi.
Thanks girls I see we already have a few who are interested in joining us. Please let your friends know that we will be doing this and encourage them to add their 2 cents here if they would like to be part of the gang so we will know how many would consider doing a few days together as a group in September. Don't worry, We have plenty of time to set something in stone *as Annie would say*.

We can't worry about how many conventions coincide with the dates we chose as we will be all year long working it out and end up not doing it at all but if anyone wants to do this I will definitely be in town in September. I will look into hotel prices for those who want me to as we get nearer to the Summer months. Labor day is usually a good time to go as prices are low but it is still extremely warm around that time in L/V. I personally like the warm temps but I know that not everyone else does. Later in the month it cools down to low 90° to high 80°.***Perfect***!

My DLV members please feel free to contact me via E-Mail.

The only problem I have with The Hofbrduhaus Las Vegas is that it is
very loud and usually crowded. I don't believe it makes for a very good
socializing venue.

As loud as Margaritaville was?

Is it more roomier or was it as cramped as Margaritaville?

The web site kinda confirms what Kimberly was saying. It shows a
typical large beer hall and very long tables -not sure if the indoor
beer garden has the same kind of seating. It looks similar to the
dining shown on Harry Potter. So the seating doesn't appear to be round
tables or booths. There is also evening entertainment in the hall, so
yes it can be difficult for socializing as in conversations. They state
it can be loud at times for its in a Hall or Garden, with live music,
and depending on the crowd it can be rowdy.

They have $5 Jaeger spank-shots. Basically, order the shot, and the
girl delivering the shot also does the spanking - and will tell you to
assume the correct position to get spanked (3 times?). The waitresses
are all in Bavarian outfits. Some comments state it does hurt, but
being drunk helped numb the hurt.

How is the food?

The menu looks excellent and so do the pics on their web page. It
includes potatoes, sausages, pork , chicken, beef. I'm sure the
different beers are excellent. Their web site doesn't show any prices.

Other rating sites state the food is great to average, imported from
Germany. Prices are around $20 for the meals and the staff pushes the
more expensive items, and give more attention to those that spend more.
The place can be crowded or half empty depending on the day and time of
day.

From what I've read so far, and you seem to corroborate this, is that
this place appears to be like any large German beer hall you see on the
travel shows ala Rick Steves. Lots of people singing, laughing and
drinking gobs of beer all socializing with each other and having a grand
ol' time. Question to us now is, do we want to socialize only with
ourselves as in a small exclusive group or do we want to socialize with
the masses as they would do in Germany. I don't know about others, but I
would feel very comfortable socializing with the masses. I feel there
will be other times during DLV to socialize with each other individually
or as a group. Just my opinion.
