Ann Sather's has great breakfasts. It is especially famous in
Chicago for its cinnamon rolls. Ann Sather's can be very very busy
for brunch on weekends.

I haven't been to the 95th in years, but it is a spectacular view -
especially at night with the city all lit up. That is just mmy
opinion.

>First off how many out of town firls usualy attend?

Pinkfest is much smaller than most TG events. Typically we've been
getting 20-some total, both locals and out of towners.

One year for Pinkfest, Diane (who usually coordinates room share for
DLV) tried it for Pinkfest. IIRC, response was low.

Sharing a room can save a lot, but many do not like it. For DLV we've
had many cases of where room share has worked out, but many issues too,
including some horror stories, such as a roommate who failed to show,
roommates who failed to pay, smoking issues, etc.

Fran,

I think that is a good idea. I think recommending just a few hotels with
the understanding that people will be staying wherever they want would
be very helpful especially for anyone new to Chicago. It would be much
easier to share rooms and rides that way. It would help with financing
even if there is no gauranteed lower group room rate.

Hi,

If there will be folks sharing rooms, then there is one particular hotel
I would recommend; Best Western, Hawthorne Terrance, Chicago. It is on
Broadway, just about in the middle of the "Main Street" area of Boy's
Town, with several really nice restaurants near by. They have indoor
parking and beautiful rooms. However, at about $240 a night, they are a
lot more expensive than other places near the area.

This is a great place at sun set. Get a seat facing west and watch the
city activity. Commuter trains, El trains and shadows. You might love
it.
