>Do u girls with DLV experience think this mite be a good idea?
Let me offer a few thought and suggestions here ...
It's most likely far too late to get this on the schedule as a DLV activity.
However, if you can decide on a TIME and PLACE for a recurring breakfast at the IP by this Tuesday evening at the latest, we can get it in the Late Notices section of the Large Final Mailing and hopefully bump your participation a bit.
IMAO, the big question is "where?"
I'm not staying at the IP this year, but I know the property well and offer three possibilities, none of them ideal, unfortunately. Their long-standing Teahouse Coffee Shop was closed in favor of the Hash House a Go-Go, a spin-off of a trendy breakfast place on west Sahara.
1. The Hash House a Go-Go. Traditional breakfasts and comfort foods with large portions and large prices. Definitely more spendy than the typical casino coffee shop.
2. The Imperial Palace Buffet. This has a reputation of being not one of the better buffets, but I can personally attest that it has improved over the past 1-2 years. It ain't haute cuisine by any means, but it's there, now, and cheap, and undoubtedly has something that everyone can enjoy.
3. Betty's Diner and Cyber Cafe. Uh-huh, the same place we're using as a rendezvous point for several activities. IIRC it's mostly coffee and rolls and such at breakfast time, but they may have some hot breakfast items, I'm not sure.
> Or, maybe u know reasons why it won't?
The only negative I can see is the time of the activity.
We don't have an early-rising gang by any means, and many of our people cite a 2-3 hour get-ready process. Our evenings can be late and very intense, and our history shows that only the highest of the high-interest activities in the morning (such as golf and air tours) draw significant numbers.
A mid-morning continental breakfast type of thing has been proposed off and on over the years, but never happened.
Anyway, if you can agree on a recurring time and place by Tuesday evening at the latest, we can get this in the LFM.
