Crowded elevators I can take. Slow elevators I can't! :(

For those who are a bit shy of elevators and such things as walking through a crowded hotel lobby, the Imperial Palace does have the "Capri" rooms out back. These are "west coast" motel-style rooms with outside entrances. This was formerly the old Flamingo Capri Motel.

Capri rooms are usually priced lower than the IP tower rooms. I would rate the Capri rooms as slightly better than the typical Motel 6 rooms.

Annie you reminded me of a stay at the San Remo, now Hooters, many years
ago.

I was in one of the 'Garden Rooms' and had to deal with crickets, one
hidden someplace in the room and another that crawled across the floor.
I put the ice bucket over his head as I left for the day. Other than
that the worst I've run into were rugrats and teenage basketball teams.

The place to check is in the folds, along the headboard, etc. The
commercial laundries are very good at cleaning the sheets, but the bugs
get into the smallest nooks & crannies. Fabric covered headboards, the
edges of the box springs. Fold back the cording on the edges of the
mattresses & box springs, and most of all, remove the bedspread, fold it
up, and put it in an unused area.

There was one hotel closed by the Clark County Health Department a while
back because of a SEVERE infestation. Granted, it was not a strip hotel,
or even an upper class place. The problem is, these places are sometimes
used for one night or multi-hour trysts, and then the gents go back to
the luxury place to meet up with the family again. That place is
currently closed, but the dangers still exist. I saw a news special a
while back that said many of the better hotels in NYC are having
problems keeping the critters under control.

Just saw a show on animal planet channel
called 'Infested' It had a family home that
had to deal with bed bugs... chem treatment
didn't work, only heating the whole home
to 150 degs worked. They were all over
the home like roaches. Bold enough not
to hide.

There was another in Phoenix, Ariz that
had a scorpion infestation..that one was
scary.

Hello everyone, I was guest several times at Imperial, the rooms are normal, nothing to complain... Only that is real, is the crowd elevators, but when you check in, ask for a room in the same floor of parking, or maybe one up floor... I did this anytime and is very easy to come in-out... Never had a problem, one time, a waitress, followme until I seat in a slot machine and put 5 dollars... Why? I didnt know... Last year, i was at frank marinos show, It was amazing...

See you there!!!
