Survey results:
The results of the DLV 2006 participant survey are now on line in the
DLV Discussion Forum, on the web at:
http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dlvdisc/
Both the reports covering the objective quantitative portion and the
comments and suggestions are on line.
Not to give away any spoilers, but as most of you know, this year's
event was rated very highly overall. :) Thanks to all who planned DLV
and attended for making DLV 2006 the success it was! :)
Additional comments and feedback are appreciated, either in public on
the DLV Discussion Forum (link above) or in private by sending e-mail
to: dlv@geekbabe.com

Final DLV 2006 mailing:
Unless something earthshaking occurs, this will be the last general
mailing on the topic of DLV 2006.
The next general mailing will most likely be sometime mid summer which
announces the preliminary plans for DLV 2007.
The DLV Discussion forum (link above) will remain open and all inquiries
to dlv@geekbabe.com will be answered as usual.

Photos continue to come in, and they are still being accepted if there
are still more out there, and when they are all received, the final DLV
2006 pages will appear on the web. All removal requests received as of
Friday have been processed.
Photos are still being added to the staging area in batches, so if
you're concerned about any that may not show you in the best light,
please check the staging area over the next few weeks. This will be
marked "complete" when it looks like no more photos will be added.

The DLV Organizers Grop:
Yes, what's missing is "U"! :)
"Awsk Nawt" what DLV can do for you, ask what you can do for DLV!
Our Call For Volunteers continues.
Thanks to all who have stepped forward. Your efforts will be truly
appreciated.
As many of you know, there will be a significant turnover in personnel
between DLV 2006 and DLV 2007, and we will use all the help we can get
for DLV 2007 and beyond.
All that fun you had at DLV, on the limo tour, at golf, at the shows,
NSD, etc. was the result of our volunteers stepping forward and doing
what was necessary to make these things happen.
Planning and organization of DLV is done mostly on line via e-mail. It's
interactive and participatory. Volunteers form what we call the DLVORG
group.
DLVORG people participate at the decision-making level, the organizing
and planning level, and at the nuts-and-bolts level.
The DLVORG group has one mission and one mission only, and that is to
plan the activities that make up what we call Diva Las Vegas.
All of our major activities were "adopted" by one or more of our
volunteers, who jumped through the necessary hoops to make them happen.
Most of the real "work" involves planning activities and making them
happen. (And I say "work" in quotes, because it can actually be a lot of
fun!)
If you're sincere about wanting to do your part to make a great thing
even better, to give back what DLV has given to you, and help to run an
event that has literally changed lives, please step forward!
To join the DLVORG group, simply send a brief e-mail message to
dlvorg@geekbabe.com and state you wish to volunteer. (Or, just reply
to this mailing and state that you wish to volunteer.)
Please include a sentence or two stating how you are most interested in
helping out. Anything general or specific ("I wanna plan a sky-diving
party.", or "I'll help any way I can.") is perfectly fine. Anything
from one sentence to a book length manuscript will be ok. :)
The DLV 2007 organizational list will become active shortly, and those
who volunteered will receive a confirming e-mail and a welcome message.

Correction:
One error occurred in our credit listing in the last mailing. Nora
should have been listed as coordinating the Dragapella Show. Thanks
again, Nora, and sorry for the omission.
