Here is the text of the letter I sent to the Bellagio.......there have
been some comments about it but as you can see it's pretty general. No
mention of Diva Las Vegas other than a "gathering of over 150
transgender ladies" which could be anything (and certainly not Diva
seeing as we didn't have that many <g>). No mention of the girls at
Charles' bar or anything like that. The girl who was approached by
security could be anybody as well.
I wanted to know for my own edification and then just let the group know
so I would rather we just let it pass as it really has nothing to do
with Diva specifically.
Thanks
Leah
Hello
My name is Leah <deleted> and I am a male-to-female transgendered person
living here in Las Vegas.
Recently we had a gathering of over 150 transgender ladies from all over
the world in town and some of them frequented The Bellagio on several
days and evenings during their stay.
The service and attitude of the staff were superior according to those
who visited your facility with one minor infraction...... that being use
of the ladies room.
One of the girls was approached by a Security Guard upon exiting the
ladies room and told, in a nice manner, that she and her friends should
use the gentlemen's rest room instead. This, of course, would place them
in a very precarious situation no doubt.
I want to mention at this time that our group is not a fetish group, we
are from all walks of life, and just look to survive as regular folks in
our gender expression.
Transgenderism is far too detailed to go into here but perhaps if you or
anyone else would like to discuss it in detail sometime I would be happy
to meet with you personally. I do suspect however that you have some
sort of corporate policy dealing with the issue already.
Back to my request......would you please let me know what the official
bathroom policy is of the Bellagio in this regard?
One of the other casino properties has designated a private bathroom for
our use by their casino cage, which is more of an employee washroom and
not open to the general public. If you have an area like that on the
floor then that would be ideal.
Believe me, I am not tryng to be an 'in-your-face' type.....just trying
to reason out a solution to a potential problem as I am sure there will
be repeat visits to your facility.
I look forward to your reply and thank you for your attention to my
request.
Regards,
Leah <deleted>
