Being stuck in Vegas year round I know for a fact that the restaurant
side of Bamaha Breeze was heavily saturated with gays on the afternoon
in question and that we were getting quite a few "looks", but not for
reasons you may have thought. I suspect they were more looks of
admiration than astonishment, because I got a few and believe you me, I
noticed them. A table of ten or twelve guys scoped me out pretty good.

When you get my age and come out as late as I have, you don't fool
around with ego deflation, you dress to kill. Are we taking ourselves
way too seriously here? I know I have been guilty of that. I have only
been out such a short time and still have lots to learn. What grand fun
this all is. Bev, do you think you could get Jane to make a comment on
this just for the record? Would you tell her to email me? She's
probably married but I'd love to talk with her. Cynthia

Hello Everyone. I just ran across these postings. First of all I will
say I had a hell of a good time in Las Vegas. The people who went to the
trouble of putting this on did one hell of a good job. I thank them most
profusely.

Now for the reason for my post. YES I was the one who was wearing the
lavender dress at BB. It was NOT, I repeat, ("NOT") my intention to
offend anyone. It also was NOT my intention to make anyone
uncomfortable. I am sorry if anyone feels that way. I have seen many
cross dressers who looks like men in dresses, but I usually keep my damn
big mouth shut about it. If I "were", to say anything to them or about
them, I would talk to them privately and tell them the good things they
are doing and very gently suggest some improvements they could make. I
will admit I may have been a little over the top, but one rule I know is
"formal" is always acceptable in most any situation.

I had agonized before hand on what to wear to this DLV, so I decided to
dress as nicely and tastefully as I could. After all I didn't want to
give women a bad name. :-) I could just chalk up these comments as
people being jealous, but if I can make it to the next DLV I will take
some of the peoples comments in consideration. It is looking like I may
not be able to make it to DLV next year anyway. Also for the record, yes
I was the one who wore the Victorian ball gown on the limo tour. I knew
this was going to be way over the top. I did ask Annie before hand what
was acceptable for this tour. Her reply was the dressier the better. I
said OK you ask for it. Again it was not meant to offend anyone or make
anyone uncomfortable. I will admit I had one hell of a good time by
wearing the clothes I did. You would not believe how many times I got
stopped by people, especially women, who wanted to talk to me and have
their picture taken with me. I sincerely hope I was a good ambassador
for the TG community to the general public.
