Glad everyone had a great time and most, if not all events, went off
without a hitch.
I would just like to add a few comments to the already wonderful
feedback that has been offerred by many so far.
I just read Tina's so while it's fresh in my mind I'll start there.
Goodtimes- <sigh> mentioned on Weds. nite to expect a big crowd on
Friday. Even though I was late to Carluccio's on Friday I stopped there
first to remind them. No message given to manager, then no second
bartender even though he had ample time to call someone else in to help
out. I love the bartenders over there but nothing ruins a good time
more than having to waste half of it getting drinks. Next year I will
make it a point to insure that we have at least two bartenders with the
threat of taking them off our list due to subpar service.
The Gipsy low turnout made me think a bit....with having so many first
timers the last two years I guess it is safe to say that many have not
been to GLBT bars and clubs. Maybe we should put out a note to everyone
explaining what may go on in these places. I mean mainly same sex
kissing and holding hands etc. and the like. Like Tina said, male
revues are common in these places so maybe a pre-awareness might be
beneficial to the newbies.
Vendor note. There were several 'no-shows' at LaRue's hair salon. I
don't know who and don't want to know but Cathy over there knocked
herself out for our group. She opened on Monday (her day off) and
several girls who had their nails done and broke or chipped them were
invited to 'come right over' for a FREE fix after they called for an
appt.
Maybe I take this a little personal because this is the salon I use and
I recommended it......it is usually very busy and I am sure she turned
away business for those appts. that weren't kept.
All I ask is that next year if someone can't make their appt. to please
call and let her know. Just common courtesy. This is different than
not showing up at the last minute to a dinner or drinks event and maybe
she can maximize her time by filling the slot.
Did we have any bathroom issues anywhere? If so, let me know and I will
try to address them over the coming year. Mindy had arranged a facility
over at San Remo which was perfect and if there were problems anywhere
else I can try to set up the same type thing in that place.
I would like to try and get Freezone on the regular schedule next year.
Since the renovation and moving the stage to the rear there is ample bar
area for a large crowd now. Maybe start off with the first get-together
after Milano's. We can toss that around on the list. Since everyone
likes Milano's so much this will help keep them on the schedule
too......as the girls can eat in shifts if need be as it's just a short
walk across the street.
I read Gina's comments about the air tour no shows.......won't repeat my
LaRue's comments but same idea. Maybe even moreso for the pilots who (I
hope <g>) curtail their drinking activities the night before and get a
decent night's sleep to accommodate the tour.
All in all, lots of smiling faces every time I looked around the crowd
and another great Diva for all. Looking forward to next year already!
