The important thing is, if you are confused about anything, let us know,
the sooner the better.
>Let me say from the get go I think I have an issue receiving
>itinerary information on the Vegas Event. I have one update
>about Golf and an English Tea.
The mailing covering Golf and High Tea was last Saturday's general
mailing.
I show you registering on March 18th. You should have received two
general mailings since then, the one you spoke of on April 11, and
one titled "[dlv] Latest updates - DLV 2009 ..." on March 28.
I suggest you go back into the archives of the general mailings on the
web and review all mailings dated since the first of the year 2009. I'm
sure this will answer a lot of your concerns and get you more up to
speed as far as what's going on. The list archives are on the web at:

>The Tea sound nice however I am not sure where to register
>or even what day or time?
The High Tea will be on Friday afternoon of DLV week. The last mailing
you spoke of should have the working schedule toward the bottom of the
mailing.
You can sign up for High Tea, Golf, and many other optional activities
at activity sign-up time, which will begin this Sunday. This weekend's
general mailing will cover the activity sign-up process in detail. It's
also outlined in a few of the previous mailings.
>As silly as it sounds I have been registered with the
>DLV for months but I just found this Yahoo Group. Am I
>missing a page?
No, you aren't missing anything. The Yahoo group is simply a "repeater"
of the DLV Discussion Forum for those who prefer a Yahoo interface
instead of e-mail or the main DLV web site. The main page for the DLV
Discussion Forum is on line at:

>I feel pushy by asking and posting, but I feel a little left out
>or like I said maybe I just don't know where to look..
There seems to be, unfortunately, more confusion this year than in
previous years. The important thing is that if you don't understand
something, please let us know, and the sooner the better.
>I read in the last post that you "will" send out information, so
>it hasn't been sent yet, and that I would get a hard copy at sign in.
The bulk of the information will be coming out in what we call the Large
Final Mailing. This will be sent out to all registered attendees about a
week before DLV. This is a comprehensive set of all kinds of information
related to DLV. If you want an advance copy, you can request early
copies of the Large Final Mailing beginning around May 1.
>and that I would get a hard copy at sign in.
You will get a hard copy of the summary schedule and the activity map
when you check in to DLV. This is a one-sheet quick reference. The Large
Final Mailing will contain far more information and detail.
>Where will we be signing in? As I plan on arriving on Wednesday.
On Wednesday you can check in either at the Lunch With Ginger or at the
Happy Hour just prior to dinner. Unlike other events, there will be no
big check-in desk. You'll check in with the hostess either at the lunch
table or the bar.
If you're a bit uneasy going directly to one of the larger activities,
we can arrange for one of the senior volunteers to meet with you
one-on-one and check you in prior to your first major activity. Let us
know (in advance, please) if you want to do that.
>See I am soooooo lost, I feel bad that I am a burden..
No, you are not a burden. I admit that we sometimes get a bit testy
after answering questions over and over that have already been answered,
but your concerns are most definitely valid.
Hopefully this will help you get up to speed on things.
