Dear Friends,
I must admit to not being present at the Charles Bar when the aforementioned events occurred. I was home in bed fast asleep as is usual for me on a Thursday night. I confess to possibly speaking in general terms here.
I do believe there is a time and place for everything. I have
had locals ask me about Diva Las Vegas. In keeping with the
traditions of DLV I always emphasized in clear terms the
importance and requirement of registering for DLV if attendance
is desired.
I admit to being a very mainstream individual. I choose not to
patronize many of the establishments that I guess I could
categorize as alternative. I have nothing against them. Give me
an evening in the Petrossian or Baccarat bars in Bellagio, or
Parasol Up and Down in Wynn, or the Prime Rib Loft at the
Orleans, or Golden Nugget Laughlin any day. And the list goes
on and on. I'm no better than the next person, just different.
I also enjoy more middle of the road places like Palace Station,
or the Riverside in Laughlin, etc.
I confess to never having dressed in the manner of the folks
from the Wildside. I know there are venues where they could
feel at home. I feel in my own opinion that Bellagio is not
a place for that. Bellagio is different. I am fortunate to
be a somewhat regular guest of the various venues of Bellagio
since 2001, and of Wynn since their opening day in April 2005.
I continue to enjoy such upscale experience to this day.
I am fortunate to know the Gina who brought Charles Bar to DLV.
And I would be glad to attend meals and events with her any day.
I'd like to thank her for helping me to know I can experience the
finer things in life and be myself while doing that. I would say
this Gina who worked hard to put together Charles Bar is one to
have respect for.
Now if only I can stay up late enough to attend Charles Bar, and
have my plain cranberry juice.
Sincerely, J. here in warm LV.
