Okay, I've scanned through several threads and have picked up enough
information to have a decent understanding of what to expect. This is my
first vacation, so please bear with me! I have registered, and am
starting to plan my itinerary. I'm not sure at this point how many
nights I will be able to stay, so I have to figure out how to narrow my
choices. The questions below may help.
Considering I am not a slender hardbody anymore (sigh), I must dress
more appropriately to represent my age (45+). I would not try to be
something I am not, but I do enjoy dressing a little "less conservative"
at times. Thinking a little on the naughtier side, where is the line
drawn? This is primarily geared toward the Soiled Doves event, and I was
thinking about a tight black skirt just above the knee with seamed
stockings and 5" heels. The outfit would be topped off with a nice,
shimmery top.

This really depends on the activity at hand.
In each case, the line is usually very obvious. If the outfit is
usual and customary for age, size, time, place, and circumstance,
you will be fine.

covers what needs to be covered will be fine. This activity
is probably the most permissive of all of them on our calendar.

That would be fine, I'm sure. In fact, it's probably one of the

Thank you, Annie, for the informative reply. My original post must have
been truncated because I meant to ask this question as well. What
happens if I am not able to attend the Monday evening Kick-off? As a
first-timer, can I give my cell number to a "big sister" to find out how
to catch up with some people Tuesday evening? I don't want my absence at
check-in/registration to be construed as a no-show! I cannot attend the
entire week, so I need to figure out the schedule that works best for
me!

If you miss the Welcome Celebration, you can check in at any other
activity which offers check-in. Lunch With Ginger/Lori/Mary Beth on
Tuesday will have check-in.

It would be best if you would phone us. There will be three contact
numbers going out in the Large Final Mailing.
On Tuesday, however, particularly if you are interested in the
Night Of The Soiled Doves, this requires a sign-up and a commitment
in advance to attend. You can't just phone and catch up with that
one. There will be some low-key local alternatives which you can
do, however, without a sign-up.

As long as you check in within one day of your arrival date on your
registration, you won't be counted as a no-show.

The one thing you want to be sure you do is to adjust your arrival
and departure dates when you know them. When it comes to activity
sign-up, it won't let you sign up for something that happens
before your arrival date or after your departure date.

I was going to say, to assure you, that if you make a
good-faith attempt to abide by the dress guidelines,
you will be fine. This is still true, but this other
thread on restrooms made me think of something that
might better answer this.

was crossed was when complaints were made to the
organizers by other attendees.
No, there's not going to be a nun there who is
measuring skirt length with a ruler, but if one's
appearance is such that it's resulting in complaints,
that's when action will be taken.
Complaints are few and far between, but in the two
cases I'm referring to, they were warranted.

one person who is dressed inappropriately can spoil
the vacation for others.
The DLV Organizers don't want to hamper your style at
DLV, and the vast majority of the attendees wear
rather fashionable outfits.
Since DLV has several mainstream activities, what one
wears in public should be typical of a woman of your
age and size. (That's the actual physical age, not
the perceived age of your femme persona.)
Overall, it also depends on how well you blend in
public, referring to make-up, hair, comportment, body
type, and such.
A general thought that Annie has stated previously is
the 30/130 rule. Simply stated, if you are under 30
years old, physical age, and under 130 pounds, then
what a typical 20ish woman would wear is fine.

you may wear any fetish or fantasy outfit you'd like.
The Limo Tour is where you can dress in your elegant

Contest held in Vegas possibly two or three years ago. The most
beautiful, glamourous TG's I've ever seen. Is this an annual event? In
