I chatted with four Southwest Airlines flight
attendants that were deadheading back to Dallas
recently. When one of them asked me what I was doing
in LV, I told them that I was a transgendered person.
A married heterosexual male to female cross dresserand
the I had been attending a national conference of
cross dressers! They were very interested and we had a
good discussion for about half an hour!They told me of
a transitioned MTF post op, that is a pilot for
Southwest. They said that some of the male pilots are
not very nice to her!

I do not know for sure, if the flight attendants knew
who I was until I told them? One always wonders!

Probably flies better than they do. Sounds like she got more
cajones that the male pilots if she hasn't filed a harassment
suit on them. I think I've flown on SWA with this lady, I didn't
get a chance to talk to her, she was talking with a mechanic,
seemed like a first class pilot, nailed the landing, all business,
no BS, and she was out saying good bye to everyone on the exit, as
is their habit. I'm not even sure if she was the one, but the
TG-dar kicked in, and I felt I was in the presence of one of us.

Annie,

We have a member of our local group that works for
American Airlines which is headquartered in Ft. Worth.
They have more than one MTF pilot. Not sure how many?

If she was a qualified captain, I have no doubt that the airline
wouldn't care. They take a long time to train. I don't see what difference
it would make to the passengers either. They never see them any more.
Other pilots, though, I could understand. They don't like even like male
flight attendants.

Hmmmm ... I was just doing some housekeeping on the
attendee database and I happened to notice one e-mail
address where the name may imply that the user of the
account is a pilot with American.

One of them may very well have been to DLV in the past!
