Activity Highlight - Art Tour - Wed. 2:00 PM

We timed it right this time. The last photo exhibit we saw was the
amazing landscape photography of Ansel Adams.

This year we will be able to enjoy portrait photography by one of the
modern masters of the 20th Century. Over 60 images by Yousuf Karsh
(1908-2002) will be on display in the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art for
us to admire for both the quality of the photography and the impact the
people in those images have had in history, culture and the arts.

Most of the images will be from the period 1941 when Karsh photographed
Winston Churchill to when he closed his studio in the 1990's. During
those years he created some of the best known images of world leaders,
actors and other artists ranging from Picasso to Jackie Kennedy, from
Fidel Castro to Mother Teressa.

I've attached a few links to individual photos, not knowing which ones
will be on display, but this is a DLV Art Tour you may not want to miss.

Please consider this Wednesday, 2:00 PM option as you consider your
activity sign-up. The cost has been around $15.00 per person and is in a
main stream venue. Preferred dress is casual to business attire.
