FISM Friday Morning

Fantastic Indoor Swap Meet
Is there any interest in visiting the FISM on Friday morning of DLV? We could meet for coffee at KKKK (I can never remember how many K’s we are at now), spend some time chatting, then drive over so we are there when the doors open at 10:00. Shopping for a couple of hours could then be followed with ‘Lunch With Ginger’ and have the afternoon free to partake of the other activities.
So let’s hear from you if you are interested in giving this a shot. An alternative could be heading to the outlet mall instead. What do you think?

I like this idea. The outlet mall is open all the time but FISM has
limited hours and it may be our only chance to go as a group.

I like the idea of going to FISM, each year I attend DLV. My problem is that by Friday, I'm too tired to get dressed on that morning. So, when I went to Vegas for Halloween last year, I made it a point to visit this place. I walked around for over an hour, didn't get anything 'cause they didn't have my size in the shoes I wanted and went out for lunch, afterwards. I would gladly sign up for this again but only concerned my depleted batteries would not get my butt out for that morning, again.

My biggest problem in Las Vegas is the time difference. I am from Iowa (Central Time Zone) so my internal clock is 2 hours later. So at 8:00am my body thinks its 10:00. It makes it difficult for me to sleep in and stay up past 11:00. That's another reason I can make it to the morning gathering with Katie so easily.

I like the idea of FISM on Friday. All it takes to get it on our schedule is for a volunteer to "adopt" the activity and make it happen.

Historically, FISM was part of our very first "Shopping Tour", way back during DLV 1998.

Personally, I want to defer the decision of whether or not to do FISM until Friday depending on how bright-eyed and bushy-tailed I am that morning.

Fantastic Indoor Swap Meet. Kind of a humongous indoor flea market over on Decatur.

If you've never been there, you need to go. They sell about everything that can be sold. It's very "earthy" in ambiance. Everything from knock-off fake designer bags to talking parrots!

There are two very good wig vendors (Vegas Girl and Hair Fantasy) which have been DLV faves for years.

If you're feeling ornery, you can go hassle the transphobe in F-34.

Two things that I would strongly suggest when going there, casual mainstream dress, and don't hang around in groups.
