Flamingo Group Room Discount Rate

Announcement on Flamingo Group Room Rate
I have been working with Flamingo on getting DLV2015 a group rate for our week in Las Vegas. Most of the online rates I have been able to find are running anywhere from $72-$99 per night plus resort fee and taxes. Resort fees are now a part of life in most casino hotels in Las Vegas it seems. There is no way around them.
I have been quoted a price by Flamingo for $65 per night for Sunday, March 22 through Sunday, March 29, single or double occupancy. That's a full week at a locked in price of $65/ night! Even Saturday night is included in this rate where the rate normally jumps up to as high as $150. Of course the resort fee of $25/n and taxes are on top of that rate. But that's true with whatever rate you are able to find online or by dealing directly with the hotel.
All of my research has found this to be the very best rate for that time period for the Flamingo or hotels around that area. We are a week or two earlier then in the past for DLV. Las Vegas does not have a major convention going on that week but it is during March Madness and it is going to be a high demand time period which means room rates will not be discounted as much as in years past.
We will have a block of 25 rooms available on a first come, first served basis. If you don't get in for that block then you are totally on your own. The first night fee will be charged at time of booking, which is common for many hotels; this is fully refundable if cancelled prior to 72 hours before the first night. So rooms can be cancelled without penalty. There is even the opportunity to extend the rate up to 3 days prior and 3 days past the dates posted. Booking of rooms must be done no later than February 1st or the non-used rooms will be released. Any requests for rooms after February 1st will be on a "space available" basis. So you must lock your room in quickly or you will have to take your chance on getting a room at another rate.
It should also be noted that these rooms cannot be used for "vendor usage". So if anyone is planning on setting up any kind of business out of the room it is not allowed and could void the contract.

I just received the booking information for our block of rooms at Flamingo. I wasn’t expecting this until next week so I was glad to see it already.

Yes Delany, the correct rate is $65 for every night. Sunday through the following Sunday. I am glad you are joining us at Flamingo. We will have a great time there. I have heard from several gals that will be there as well so rooms are going fast.

I would like to give Beverly a big "Atta-Girl" for picking up the ball and running with it on this!

In checking various places, this rate is significantly lower than anything else available to the general public on an apples-to-apples comparison.

Doing a quick comparison this morning (YMMV, rates change frequently) with a check-in on March 22 and a check-out on March 28, Beverly's rate comes to $414.00, not counting taxes and nuisance fees. On the Flamingo (CET) site, when not logged in to Total Rewards, the price this morning is $655.00 for the same room, same dates, before fees. This is a savings of $241.00! This is real money!

I am unaware of any "catch" or "gotcha" with Beverly's rate other than a limit on the number of rooms and the expiry date.

Checking the "usual suspect" travel sites, Amoma comes in cheapest at $630.00 with Travelocity at $683.00. Kayak/Priceline comes in highest (of those I checked) at $694.00. Lotsa variance in there, but all in the same ballpark.

This should be very good news for those who are becoming discouraged when checking rates and finding them consistently high. This should make DLV affordable to many who are "on the edge" due to prices.

But Katie, you said you weren't drinking at the next DLV :-).

In addition to the cost savings, I like the idea of having a
"semi-official" hotel, particularly for the newbies. Vegas can be a lot
to absorb for a beginner, and being able to stay at a place where you
know at least 25 other girls are located will reduce anxiety. Nicely
done, Bev.
