We've picked up a number of list members from the DLV list lately. Welcome! We hope to see you in person this coming October.

The one thing I will STRONGLY suggest to all who want to attend is to make your hotel reservations NOW! Prices have already risen significantly for most hotels in the downtown area. They are still very reasonable in the 'burbs -- for now! Please, if you ever listen to me, listen to me now and lock in your hotel rate even if it's a bit higher than you would like. You can always cancel and re-book if rates should drop.

If you enjoyed DLV, you'll certainly see some familiar faces. Pinkfest is smaller than DLV, but the advantage is that you'll get to know the people better.

I'm also looking forward to it.

Most definitely at any of several hotels or motels out in the 'burbs. I don't know how well you know Chicago, but there are clusters of hotels around both Midway and O'Hare airports, many of them quite reasonable in price. If you will have a vehicle, these will work quite well.

If you don't have a vehicle, the Holiday Inn right off the Kennedy on Cumberland is a good compromise between convenience and cost. I've stayed there twice for Pinkfest. It's an easy walk to the Blue Line station from the hotel.

Also, some others are looking into B&B type places which are reasonable in cost and more centrally located.
