Welcome to those who just registered or joined the list.

Reconfirmed headcount is now up to 111. Everything is pointing to a very
heavy turnout, even for the early activities.

Things to come:

We're only 3 weeks away from the big event. Things are moving very
quickly and the pace will quicken even more in the weeks to come.

Around April 16, that's just over 2 weeks from now, we will send out
our large final mailing.

This will include such things as:

. Your own personal confirmation and itinerary, listing the activities
you have signed up for, and what you need to do to change them if you
need to.

. Final detailed schedule for DLV 2003, including what, when, where,
cost, what you need to do to attend, where at the facility to meet
the group, etc.

. Excruciatingly detailed driving directions to DLV activities, written
primarily for those who may be unfamiliar with the area. It also gives
what to tell a taxi driver if you are using a taxi.

. Link to a page of maps to most of the activity locations, and photos
of some of the buildings.

. Local contact information and emergency "big sister" phone numbers.

. Discussion of dressing for DLV activities, and specific dress
suggestions for each DLV activity.

. Ride-share lists of drivers and riders.

. Instructions on how to check in once you get to Las Vegas, and what to
look for and how to find the group at each of our activities.

. A review of our Conditions Of Participation. (Yeah, yeah, I know, but
we are taking this very seriously this year.)

. A discussion of restroom issues.

. Tina's famous "Drinking En Femme" treatise.

. Misc. notes on timing, photography, acknowledgements, shipping
clothing (and other items), makeover options, discounts and promotions,
and last minute items.

Our Annual Mixer:

This week we feature our Annual Mixer and the other Friday evening
activities.

Although the entire DLV group will never be in the same place at the
same time throughout the week, the Annual Mixer will be the single
largest assembly of our people at DLV 2003.

The very first Diva Las Vegas activity ever was an informal get-together
in 1997 at the Goodtimes Lounge. Each year this activity has expanded,
and this is what we now call our Annual Mixer. In 1997 we met at one
side of the bar, with seats left over. The past few years we've filled
the place! Don't worry, there are two large overflow areas in their
facility. :)

Although this has gotten to be quite large, it's still informal and a
lot of fun! Dress can be just about anything you want. Boymode or
girlmode, anything from very casual to dressy to formal to moderately
exotic. This is truly a "come as you are or as you want to be" activity.

This is your chance to get to know all of your DLV sisters (and
brothers) in a casual but fun atmosphere. The Goodtimes Lounge is
very t-friendly and is a comfortable place for those who are newly
out, but on the other hand it won't give our more mainstream people
a case of claustrophobia.

At about 9:30 we will pose for our "official" (if there is such a thing)
DLV 2003 group photo. This is optional. Hi-res images will be made
promptly and at no charge to all DLV 2003 participants.

The Friday evening agenda will commence with Happy Hour at Carluccio's
Ristorante at 5:00pm followed by dinner at 6:00.

Dinner will be a fixed price, $20 per person (including tax and
gratuity), and will include salad or minestrone soup, choice of Ranch or
House salad dressing, and a choice of entree of Chicken Marsala, Veal
Parmagiana, Shrimp Scampi, Eggplant Parmagiana, or Baked Lasagna.

Dress for dinner can be about anything from nice casual to formal,
depending on your style and on your mood at the time.

Thanks to Leah for the dinner arrangements.

Following dinner we will adjourn to Goodtimes, which is just across the
parking lot from Carluccio's, for our Annual Mixer.

After the Annual Mixer it's Dance Night!. Follow Tina, DLV's
Social Director, to Gipsy and possibly a few other places in
that neighborhood, and party 'til you can't stand it!

Monday evening:

Our registrations show that over 30 DLV people will be in town Monday
evening. In light of that, Tina has proposed a Pre-pre-DLV Happy Hour
on Monday.

We'll meet at about 7:30pm at the Spotlight Lounge, 957 East Sahara,
corner of Commercial Center. This is right up the street from the
now-defunct Keys. This should give the people returning from the Area
51 trip enough time to change and clean up.

Yes, this is t-friendly. Come boymode or girlmode.

There are a number of other places in the vicinity, so we can wander on
to one or more of them if the group so desires.

Wednesday evening plans:

Recent reports indicate that Sasha's, the restaurant and nightclub where
we plan to hold our Wednesday evening activities, is indeed on stable
ground and is not in danger of closing.

This past week the DLVORG group voted in favor of keeping our original
plans at Sasha's for Wednesday evening.

So, it's Happy Hour at 5:00pm, dinner to follow at 6:00pm. Leah will
also be resuming arrangements for a special dinner-show, and details
will be announced shortly.

Also, for after dinner that evening, a new show has just opened up at
Sasha's. "Dinner, Drag, and Divas" with Stephanie Williams appears each
Wednesday evening at 8:30pm. A copy of the show poster appears at:

As for your activity sign-ups, no change is necessary for those who have
signed up for the Wednesday dinner. For those who have not signed up and
wish to do so, just go and update your activity sign-ups.

Shipping clothing update:

The Hidden Woman Boutique will be moving and their new facility may not
be ready in time to receive shipments as previously announced. Please
use only the methods of receiving that will be announced in the large
final mailing.

All Hidden Woman activities on the DLV calendar will go on as scheduled,
using temporary facilities if necessary.

Activity headcounts and waiting lists:

Thanks to all who have completed their activity sign-ups. This helps us
greatly in arranging facilities and supplies and such.

There are still a number of these outstanding. Space is getting tight
on a number of our popular activities.

IF YOU REGISTERED BEFORE LAST WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26, AND HAVE NOT YET
RECEIVED YOUR ACTIVITY SIGN-UP E-MAIL, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU
CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY.

Those who registered after Wednesday will get this on Monday. Gentle
reminders (and not-so-gentle reminders) will be sent out as needed.

Please don't get discouraged if the activity you had your heart on doing
is marked full. We're still 3 weeks out, and there will be cancellations
and changes, so if you're on a waiting list there's a good chance you
will be cleared. In some cases this is only a warning that space will be
limited.

Here's the status on the various activities which are now showing full:

Tuesday evening dinner, Hamburger Mary's: If you are on the waiting
list, come to the preceding happy hour. If space is available, you will
be seated.

Wednesday afternoon Comportment Workshop: If you are on the waiting
list, come to the Hidden Woman Open House. If space is available, you
will get to attend.

Thursday and Friday Air Tours: If you are on the waiting list, check
with Denise (Densie) or Tony in person at DLV for arrangements.

Thursday afternoon Passing Seminar: If you are on the waiting list, come
to the Glamour Boutique Open House. If space is available, you will get
to attend.

Jubilee show, Thursday evening: All 49 tickets have been signed up for.
As of Wednesday morning, any unclaimed (unpaid) tickets will be released
to the waiting list, first-come-first-served. See Aiko in person at any
Wednesday DLV activity, the sooner the better.

Another option for Jubilee, if you find DLV tickets are not available,
is to purchase tickets directly from Bally's box office. The downside is
that you will not get to sit with the group and you will not receive the
discounted price.

Thursday evening Limo Tour: As of Thursday morning, any unclaimed
(unpaid) reservations will be released to those on the waiting list on a
first-come-first-served basis. See Monique in person at any Thursday DLV
activity, the sooner the better.

SBS Garden Party, Saturday afternoon: Although this is full
(overflowing, actually) everybody signed up as of this time, either
confirmed or waiting, should get to attend. See Mindy or Monique in
person at any DLV activity if there are any concerns about space being
available. Parking in the neighborhood is the primary limiting factor.
Please share rides if at all possible.

As of this time (Saturday, March 29) all other activities still have
space available. Please do not procrastinate on your sign-ups, as
some are approaching the full mark.

Do we have your attention? The first person who replies to this message
saying "Buy me a drink" will be entitled to a liquid refreshment of your
choice at the Annual Mixer at DLV 2003. This (or something similar) will
be repeated at least once between now and DLV.

Area 51 trip clarification:

It looks like we have quite a gang for this trip!

We will be renting vans for this trip, based upon the number of sign-ups
we get. A $10 contribution to the "van and gas" fund will be asked of
all who are going. Since our sisters will be renting these out of their
own pockets, using the sign-up headcounts, please be courteous and
adjust your activity sign-ups if you no longer wish to participate.
