There are a number of schedule items, mostly expansions, but some
additions and changes outlined below. Please read carefully.

This will be the last regularly-scheduled general mailing prior to Diva
Las Vegas 2005. The next regular mailings will be follow-ups, starting
in early May. Anything else will be special announcements, last minute
information, etc., and, of course, that Large Final Mailing. :)

Again, I've enjoyed being your list moderator this past year. Thanks to
all DLV volunteers for an excellent job in putting together this year's
event. I'm looking forward to seeing everybody in person in Las Vegas
this next week. This will be a DLV for the record books! I'll now turn
you over to the DLV Activity Coordinators for what may very well be one
of the most memorable experiences of your life! :)

For those who want to attend and haven't made arrangements yet, this is
very close to your last chance. Registration will remain open through
this coming Tuesday.

The Sahara still has rooms for the DLV dates, and the weekdays are still
quite affordable at $47.95. Weekend nights are higher.

Imperial Palace is showing rooms available for the weekdays, but sold out
on the final weekend of DLV week.

Palace Station is showing rooms available for the entire DLV period, but
their lowest-cost "garden" rooms are showing sold out for most DLV days.

Boardwalk is showing rooms still available, $60-75 weekdays, $145
weekends for the DLV dates.

For absolute bottom-dollar semi-decent, Howard Johnsons (right next to
the DelMar on the far north Strip) is showing $35/79.

www.lodging.com is showing the Extended Stay Suites on Boulder Highway
at $40.99 both weekdays and weekends.

The Plaza downtown, which is not bad, actually, is showing rooms available
at $55/73.

Silverton, waaaaaayyyy south on the Strip and not bad, is $46 on weekdays,
but more than 3 times that on the weekends!

If you're feeling lucky, Nevada Hotel is $59 both weekdays and weekends,
but be sure you have a valid carry permit and your life insurance is
paid up. :)

If you're feeling suicidal, there's always the Western. :)

If you have trouble finding a room, or finding a room at a decent price,
contact the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority at 877-VISIT-LV
or on the web at www.visitlasvegas.com as they will know who has rooms
available.

If anybody is expecting anything from us, such as replies, mailings,
correspondence, and it's not been received, let us know. We are getting
down to the wire.

As for final projections on headcount, we now have 106 reconfirmed
registrations plus 22 SO's for a total reconfirmed headcount of 128.
We'll undoubtedly have a few late registrations, a few walk-ins, a few
cancellations, and a few no-shows, but my guess is that 128, plus or
minus 10, will be our final headcount. As has been the case almost
always, you'll never see the whole group in any one place at any one
time.

Thanks to all who have made their activity selections. Doing this on
line saves us the countless hours that we would spend doing them
manually.

Rocky Horror Picture Show for Saturday has been confirmed. The theme
of the week will be "Gender Bender" and no, none of our people had
anything to do with that. :)

Aiko reports that there are 3 prime booth seats left for the Folies show
on Thursday. FCFS! E-mail dlv@geekbabe.com for payment instructions.

Tickets for Folies will most likely still be available during DLV, but
they will be run of the house and not the prime booth seats.

Mindy reports that there are still openings for golf. You can sign up
for that on the activity sign-up screen.

(Glamour Boutique) is allowing DLV participants to send things to their

Large Final Mailing:

The Large Final Mailing will be sent out in 2 parts this coming week.

The personal itinerary portion, which includes the activities you're
signed up for, etc., will be sent out this coming Tuesday and the other
items will be sent out this coming Wednesday.

IF YOU HOLD A VALIDATED REGISTRATION FOR DLV 2005 AND YOU DO NOT RECEIVE
ANY OF THIS, SOMETHING IS WRONG AND YOU NEED TO LET US KNOW.

Please be sure there is room in your inbox to receive this as it gives
contact information, directions, and the final schedule.

If you will be leaving for Las Vegas prior to Wednesday, or if you
just can't wait :) you may write in and ask for an advance copy of
the Large Final Mailing.

Thrift Shop Tour:

By popular request, the Thrift Shop Tour will be repeated this year.
This will happen Tuesday of DLV week, starting at 11:00am.

No sign-up, just show up!

Meet at the Sahara hotel rear lobby, just east of the hotel registration
desk, inside the doors from the rear valet park at 11:00am Tuesday.

Boymode or girlmode, casual dress, please.

Michael Cagle Show expansion and update:

Due to some facility issues, the Michael Cagle Show has been rescheduled
for Friday, April 29, at 7:00pm.

This will be held at a new nightclub (nope, not the one you may be
thinking of) just east of the Strip. Details, map, directions, etc.
will appear in the Large Final Mailing.

There will be no charge for the show, but the hat will be passed.

Due to the fact that this change occurred after activity sign-up
started, sign-up is now requested but not required for the Michael Cagle
Show. Sign-up screens have been adjusted to account for this change.
If you already made your activity selections, you do not have to go
back and change anything.

For those of you who have never seen Michael Cagle perform, you are
in for a real treat! He's sometimes described as "Patti LaBelle meets
Nathan Lane" and he literally blew away DLV audiences in 2001, 2002,
and 2003!

And, this is unconfirmed, but there's been some talk on the net that
some special guest musicians may be accompanying Michael for this show!

This new venue has a full menu with excellent food, so this will now be
a dinner-show! Everything from appetizers to steaks and specialties will
be available, plus a full bar!

A group photo (posing is optional) and our Annual Mixer will follow
Michael's show.

Night Of The Soiled Doves expanded:

(>>>CLANG<<< Mah-stah, dinnah is prepahed!) Dinner will be served!

(Excellent, under the circumstances, formal dress is to be optional!)

Pizza, lasagna, salad, and of course a full bar!

Price has been finalized at $20 per person, which includes food but
does not include alcohol.

There's still room for a few more ... for now! :)

Each person going on the Night Of The Soiled Doves trip will receive a
limited-issue DLV 2005 commemorative pin. Thanks to JoAnn and Yvonne for
making these pins a reality! :)

Limo Tour expanded:

Due to popular demand, a seventh limo has been added to Thursday's Limo
Tour. Although this is still in a waiting list state, those who signed
up by April 4 will most certainly get to go, and those who signed up
after have a good chance to go as well.

This one's gonna be the largest and best limo tour of DLV history!

If you signed up for the Limo Tour, check your itinerary in the Large
Final Mailing. If you show "confirmed", you're all set providing you get
your payment in by Tuesday of DLV week. If you show "waiting list",
check with Tootsye or Jamie in person at DLV to see if you've moved up
far enough on the list.

For those of you who have not (yet) signed up for the Limo Tour and want
to go, sign up immediately. There is a good chance that there will be
room as some cancellations and no-shows will undoubtedly occur.
