Last minute items:

There's been a lot of e-mail coming in lately, and from now until DLV
we're going to give priority to answering the following items:

* Questions about DLV. Things that are unsure or unclear. (For general
Q&A you'll probably get an answer faster on the DLV Discussion Forum on
line at: http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dlvdisc/)

* Personal concerns, nervousness, unease, Big Sister requests, etc.

* Requests for last-minute registration.

There are, however, two things we would like to know about ...

We're asking everybody to please write in and let us know if one of
these two things applies to you:

1. If you're registered and you know you're not going to make it. If you
have a confirmed registration and you know you're not going to make it,
please let us know. This helps us keeps our numbers accurate and allows
people to move up on waiting lists.

2. If you're going to be arriving late. Please let us know if you're
going to be arriving more than one day after your registration says.
We're giving everybody one day's slack before we're marking anybody as
a no-show and releasing any sign-ups to waiting lists, so please let us
know if you're coming, but you're going to be late.

Please hold off on any activity sign-up changes. We've received many of
these, but we won't be able to process these until DLV starts. Any
activity sign-ups or changes since the itinerary part of the Large Final
Mailing will have to be made in person with an Activities Hostess after
you check in at DLV. See activities notes below.

About the driver/rider list ...

There have been a few people asking to be added as a rider, and there
have been a couple cases where somebody's changed hotel or no longer
wants to act as a driver. Unfortunately, that list is a done deal, but
it doesn't mean anybody's SOL.

If you will be needing a ride and aren't on the list, use the list to
seek out drivers who are staying in your hotel or are otherwise
convenient for you. Ask the DLV volunteers if you have any trouble
identifying or contacting drivers.

If you're on the driver list and don't want to be, just say that you
are not available as a driver if you're asked.

Fortunately there are far more seats available than there are tushes to
fill them, so again we're probably not going to have any major
transportation issues.

Last Minute registration:

We've had a few people inquire over the last day or so as to still
getting in on DLV 2005.

Although our general registration has closed, if you're really sincere
about attending, and you're really gonna show up, let us know and we'll
bend over backwards to get you registered and get you in on as many
of the activities that you want to do as we can.

If you're uneasy or unsure, nervous, have questions, let us know. We
hate to see anybody who wants to attend miss out on DLV!

If you just found out about us and really want to attend, or even if
you've been procrastinating and found registration closed, let us know.

This year we're going to be doing walk-in registration at several of
our large group activities where there will be a check-in hostess and
and activities hostess available. We're even going to do this on
Saturday prior to DLV, if you would like to come early and meet some
of the gang.

Activities sign-up and changes:

If you want to add/change/drop any of your signed-up activities, we're
going to make the process much easier this year. This is something new,
and we're still working out some of the details of this as I speak (as I
type), but at most of the larger group activities we'll have an
Activities Hostess on duty who will be able to review what you're signed
up for, make any possible changes that you want, and answer any
activities questions, such as where to go, who to pay, etc.

After you check in, please ask for an Activities Hostess to go over what
you've signed up for (or haven't) :) and we'll streamline the process of
activity sign-up and changes.

As of this day, hour, minute, and second, the only activities that are
totally full are the Slumber Party on Monday and the Limo Tour on
Thursday. There will always be cancellations and no-shows, so if you're
interested in either of these, have the Activities Hostess put you on
the waiting list.

Looking at the lists and guessing at cancellations and no-shows, the
Slumber Party probably has more of a waiting list than cancellations and
no-shows will take care of. However, you never know, so if you wanna
sleep over, have the Activities Hostess place you on the waiting list.

As to the Limo Tour, if the cancellations and no-shows are typical of
what we've seen over the past few years, most of those on the waiting
list who want to go will get to go. Again, the important thing is to
have the Activities Hostess get you on the waiting list if you're not
on it already.

Yes, there have been a few day/time changes since activity sign-up
began, and we know that some of those changes don't agree with the plans
of some of you. Don't worry, there will be no penalty for cancelling an
activity if it was rescheduled. Our Activities Hostess will assist you
with this.
