Latest numbers:

As of this morning, we have 143 validated attendees signed up,
which includes 26 SOs. We're still on track for a very good
turnout with a good mix of all ages and all types. We're looking
forward to seeing all of you in person in about two months!

We do have a couple of validations which need an appropriate
response. Please get these in. These are not optional, and we
don't think it's too much to ask to read the validation message
thoroughly and respond as it asks. Your cooperation is
appreciated.

Activity updates:

The exact details of each activity, as in where it happens,
when and where to meet, things like that, will appear in the
Large Final Mailing, sent to all validated attendees just
prior to DLV.

Sign-up for activities that need a headcount or some kind of
a hoop-jump will begin on or about April 15.

In reviewing some of the many highlights of the week:

On Monday evening we'll have our annual Welcome Meet and Greet
where you can check in and meet the others and socialize. This
will include Happy Hour, and optional dinner, and some special
after-dinner activities.

The Diva Las Vegas Invitational Golf Tournament will happen on
Tuesday morning and afternoon. This is on record as the world's
first regularly-scheduled TG golf match. Golfers of all skill
levels are encouraged to participate.

Our Art Tour is one of several daytime activities which will
expose you to a side of Las Vegas which is frequently missed
by visitors. This will happen Wednesday of DLV week.

Three local vendors are planning open house sessions for DLV
attendees during DLV week. These will be (in alphabetical
order) Glamour Boutique, Harmony Nail Spa, and Studio Lites.

We'll have dinner at Trevi (Italian, midscale, mainstream) on
Wednesday, followed by our annual Limousine Tour.

Thursday will be our ever-popular Night Of The Soiled Doves,
one of the more unique activities of DLV.

We'll have pistol and rifle shooting on Friday morning,
something very atypical for a TG gathering.

Other items for Friday include a unique Murder Mystery Dinner
Theater and several other Friday dining and activity options.

See separate item on Friday's Jam Session below.

Our Ending Bash will happen on Saturday, including dinner and
plenty of that Quality Social Time<tm>. :)

Jam Session:

Our popular well-into-the-morning-hours Acoustic Jam Session of
2008 will be repeated for DLV 2009.

If you play an (acoustic) instrument, please feel free to bring
it along and play along. Musicians of all backgrounds and skill
levels are welcome.

Vocalists of all genres are invited as well.

This will happen Friday night of DLV week, beginning at about
11:00pm with an open duration.

Stay tuned for further details. You will be able to name your
axe :) at activity sign-up time.

2008 Pity Party CD:

Kim Komplin sends in the following:

We have finished the DVD from last years Pity Party and
would like to make it available to DLV participants or
whoever would like one for their viewing pleasure.

We would like to ask for a $10.00 charitable donation to
our local non-profit chapter of Tri-Ess, "Theta Upsilon
Gamma (T.U.G.)" to help us in our efforts here as a local
transgender support group for crossdressers and their
families.

In exchange for your donation we will send you one of the
DLV 2008 Pity Party DVDs. We can either send it to you in
the mail or have it available to you at this year's DLV.
