One week:

This is a fairly long mailing, containing several important
notes for those who have registered or will be registering
within the next few days.

First and foremost: Yes, you can still get in on DLV, but
you must act NOW.

Ditto for those in any kind of a pending status. You need
to get those validations in and get those activity sign-ups
in now. Sorry, waiting until the last minute is not going
to provide a short-cut on these.

As of Saturday morning, all DLV correspondence appears to
be in a caught-up state. If you're waiting for some kind
of response from DLV, please resend or remind.

Unless unforeseen circumstances come about, this will be
the last general mailing prior to DLV 2010. The Large Final
Mailing will be going out this coming week to all who hold
validated registrations for DLV 2010.

On behalf of the DLV ORG Group I would like to thank everyone
for their participation and cooperation. We're all set for a
well-attended and highly-successful event!

BIG THANKS to all DLV organizers and volunteers! We have a
great team who put together a dynamite schedule of activities!
We have more scheduled activities this year than for any other
DLV in the past!

Our predicted total turnout is in the 170-180-ish range.
We will very possibly have a new record attendance this
year!

Remember that at DLV you will never see the entire group
at any one place at any one time. The two largest gatherings
of our people will most likely be the Welcome Meet And Greet
on Monday, and the Farewell Dinner on Friday.

By now, you should know with close to 100% certainty if you
are or are not going to be coming to Diva Las Vegas.

If you are not going to make it and you are registered,
please give us the courtesy of a cancellation if you have
not cancelled already. This get you off the rolls, allows
us to give more accurate information to our hosts, and
allows others to move up on waiting lists and such.

The deadline for general DLV 2010 registration will be
Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 1:00am CDT. This will be a
hard-stop cut-off.

Unannounced "walk-ins" and "she's with me" tag-alongs will
not be admitted. Your understanding and cooperation are

Tony Curtis will appear in person on Sunday afternoon of DLV
week and we've added this to the lineup of activities.

+Legendary Hollywood icon, author and painter, Tony Curtis
+returns to the stage of the Clark County Library for this
+very special Reading Las Vegas event. The heartthrob, who
+developed into one of the most versatile leading men in
+movies of the 1950s and 1960s, will discuss his life, art
+and The Making of Some Like it Hot. Come early to view an
+art exhibition of Curtis' work in the library gallery.

+A book signing will follow the talk, limit of one item per
+person plus whatever is purchased on site.

+Wristbands will be given out starting at 1 p.m. limit one
+per person.

2. Roller Derby Boot Camp

Due to low sign-ups, the Thursday second session of Roller
Derby Boot Camp has been canceled.

Rosada is requesting that all persons who are signed up for
the Roller Derby Boot Camp please reply with their cell
phone number or other contact details. This information will
only be used for coordination of this activity and will be
held strictly confidential.

Deadlines and cutoffs (updated):

Please read this section very carefully, noting dates, times,
and details. There have been some changes since the last
posting of this list.

Many misunderstandings and disappointments in the past have
been due to failure to understand the various deadlines and
cutoffs. Please pay attention to the dates AND TIMES of
deadlines.

Sunday, April 11 (ONE DAY FROM THIS MAILING), will
be the last batch of activity sign-up mailings. You must have
a validated registration by Sunday, April 11, at 8:00am CDT
in order to sign up for many of the optional activities.
. . .

Monday, April 12 (TWO DAYS), at 11:00pm CDT will be the
cutoff for all on-line activity sign-ups and changes. After
that time, participation in activities which require a
sign-up, if space is available, must be arranged with the
activity coordinators in person during DLV.
. . .

Monday, April 12 (TWO DAYS), will be the deadline for
payments and/or arrangements for golf. See special golf
announcement below. This supercedes a previously-announced
date.

Wednesday, April 14, at 1:00am CDT will be the deadline for
general registration for DLV 2010.

Thursday, April 15, will be the deadline for payment for the
Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. See activity sign-up screen
for payment instructions.

On Friday, April 16, we will begin holding any correspondence
received for a response after DLV has concluded. We cannot
guarantee a timely response to any items submitted by e-mail
on or after Friday, April 16.

Saturday, April 17, will be the deadline for cancellations
for the Limo Tour. See Limo Tour payment deadlines below,
these have changed since last year.

Saturday, April 17, 6:00pm PDT the first individual who
approaches Annie (look around, she will be wearing a DLV
name tag) and shows a hardcopy print-out of any portion of
the Large Final Mailing during the Pre-DLV get-together will
be treated to the liquid refreshment of your choice.

Saturday, April 17, 5:00pm PDT is the deadline for pre-payment
for the Limo Tour via Glamour Boutique. Limo Tour payments
after April 17, 5:00pm, must be made in person at the activities
designated on the activity sign-up screen.

Tuesday, April 20, 12:00 noon PDT will be the deadline for
payment for the English High Tea. See activity sign-up screen
for prepayment info. Payment in person may be made at any major
DLV activity prior to or during Monday evening.

Tuesday, April 20, 6:00pm PDT is the deadline for payment for
the Limo Tour. See payment instructions on the activity sign
up screen and in the Large Final Mailing. Those on the waiting
list may "bump" those unpaid as of this time. See "waiting
list instructions" in the Large Final Mailing.

Large Final Mailing:

If you hold a validated registration for Diva Las Vegas 2010
you will receive our Large Final Mailing either Wednesday or
Thursday of this coming week.

Please expect this, and please watch for it. Please be sure
there is enough room in your inbox to receive this.

IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE THIS BY THURSDAY EVENING AT
THE VERY LATEST, SOMETHING IS WRONG AND WE NEED TO
KNOW ABOUT IT!

This will be sent in several parts, in batches. The parts
may or may not all appear in your inbox at about the same
time. The main part describes what you should receive. If
any pieces are missing, please let us know ASAP.

If you will be leaving home early for DLV, you can request
an advance copy of the Large Final Mailing at any time.

Making contact and checking in:

Please be sure you are counted! Please check in, either at
one of the designated "check-in available" activities, or
by special arrangements.

Unlike most of the other major TG events, DLV does not
maintain a central "headquarters" and does not have a big
central check in desk.

You can check in at most major DLV activities. When you
arrive at your first DLV activity, look for either the
check-in hostess or one of our volunteer greeters.

During the first part of the week, check-in will be available
at the following activities:

* Pre-DLV gathering, Saturday. (Not on schedule, see LFM.)
* Studio Lites Open House, Sunday.
* Alternative Common Gathering, Sunday.
* Lunch With Ginger, Monday.
* Happy Hour, Dinner, Welcome Celebration, Monday
* Lunch With Mary Beth, Tuesday.

This year we will be handing out a printed summary schedule
and activity map. This can serve as a quick reference to
what is happening and where, but please do not think of this
as all you will need to know to make the most of DLV. Please
read the Large Final Mailing carefully.

The final schedule in the Large Final Mailing will have very
complete activity details, with far more information than
appears on the hardcopy handout.

DLV 2010 Group Photo and Special Prize Give-Away:

The "official" (if there is such a thing) DLV 2010 Group
Photo will be taken at 8:30pm at the Welcome Meet And Greet
on Monday of DLV week. We're encouraging everyone to be
included in this!

"The camera snaps at 8:30pm sharp!" Please be on time if
you wish to be included in this.

Immediately following the group photo at Monday's Welcome
Celebration we will have a series of special prize drawings
for some very nice prizes which have been furnished by The
Breast Form Store.

"You must be present to win!"

Early Birds:

For those of you who will be in Las Vegas on Saturday, April
17, there will be an opportunity to get together with the DLV
group.

The time and location will be announced in the Large Final
Mailing, sent to all validated DLV attendees.

HEADS-UP: This will not be on the main schedule. Details
will appear in the main part of the Large Final Mailing.

"The Pre-DLV get-together is a reward for those who read
the Large Final Mailing." :)

Name tags:

If you have a name tag holder from previous years, please
bring it along with you, as tag holders are one of our
major expenses which are often not fully reimbursed.

The tag holders which have been furnished to us this year
are the "clip-on" type, with smooth, non-jagged edges which
should not damage most fabrics.

If you prefer a different type of tag holder, such as a
pin-on, lanyard, or necklace style, please feel free to
bring one along with you. Better yet, bring along a small
pack of the tag holders you prefer, use one, and donate
the rest for others.

DLV 2010 Commemorative Pins:

Kumiko sends in the following:

DLV 2010 event pins will be available this year only
at Just You / Home of Glamour Boutique during DLV
and after. A central location that you can get to
during normal business hours instead of looking for
a certain individual.

So when you attend the Open House, getting a make over,
just visiting, attend a DLV event at the store, or need to
purchase needed items, don't forget to buy a DLV 2010
event pin!

Contact the store for information on the price of the pin.

This is a great 'take-home' yearly memoir of DLV,
and in limited quantity. Each year's pin has the year,
and a different color. So get one while they are still
available. Many veteran DLV attendees have a collection
from the very beginning and will get one to continue their
collection. Once they are gone, that is it!

Some past year's pins are still available, if you want one
before they are gone for good, go down to or inquire
with the store for information on availability and price.
