General DLV 2007 registration is now open. All registrations, both
newcomers and returnees, should now use the URL:

If you haven't registered yet and plan to attend, please register
as soon as possible. Don't get left out!

A couple notes about registration:

Please read your validation e-mail very carefully. There's one
very important step that needs to be done to complete your
registration.

Couples only have to register once. Yes, you and your SO can be
covered by one registration and validation. See instructions on
the registration screen.

If you forget your registration number or something unexpected
goes wrong, you don't have to re-register. You can easily
recover that number from the link above. If it doesn't work or
you need assistance, write to us (dlv@geekbabe.com) and we'll
do all of the busy work to get things straight for you.

Systems issues:

Some web site problems have been reported and have been fixed. This
was affecting those who left out the "www" part of some of our URLs.
This should not matter, but in actuality, sometimes it does. :)

Farewell Bash:

A noted addition to the DLV 2007 lineup of activities is our Farewell
Bash on Saturday evening.

This will be held at Elvis' Restaurant and Lounge, a relatively new
club on Sahara Avenue. This opened in January to rave reviews!

We'll begin with Happy Hour, followed by Dinner (full and varied menu),
then entertainment, featuring Elvis himself and other artists, into the
wee hours if you can last that long! :)

Keeping in the tradition, the theme for the evening will be RETRO!

Retro, formal, and retro-formal outfits are encouraged.

Anything from casual to dressy to formal, boymode or girlmode, will
be fine. Period outfits (almost any timeframe) are most welcome.
About the only thing off limits dress-wise are slutty/fetish outfits
and outfits that do not cover what is not to be seen.

Be sure to keep this activity in mind at activity sign-up time,
which begins in about a month.

Remember, please don't blame us if you miss your flight the next
morning!

SO's get-together:

One recent topic on the DLV Discussion Forum is the possibility of a
significant others' get-together.

We've had these in the past some years, but so far this year no plans
have been made. We have a total of 24 SOs signed up so far this year
so it's very likely that there will be a demand for this.

All it takes for this to happen is for somebody to volunteer to
coordinate it.

If you're interesting in sponsoring such a thing, please write to
the DLV Organizers Group at dlvorg@geekbabe.com and tell us what
you have in mind.

We can help you in many ways. We can suggest places for it that
have worked well in the past, we can find a place on the schedule
that will give you a good turnout, we will announce it at several
times, and we can give you a headcount at activity sign-up time
so you'll know how many to expect.

Limo volunteer needed:

The team which is in charge of coordinating DLV's annual Limousine
Tour is in need of one more volunteer.

Duties include assisting with the purchase of refreshments and other
supplies (it will not involve being responsible for money), assisting
with the Limo Tour load-in, answering questions and directing attendees
to their assigned limos at the origin and at the various stops.

The primary qualification is the desire to help put on an activity
that will be remembered for a lifetime!

If you would like to volunteer for this highly-visible and highly
appreciated position, you may either simply reply to this mailing
or write to: limo@geekbabe.com and state that you wish to volunteer.

Roommate Clearing House:

Sharing a room is one thing that can help quite a bit to make DLV
affordable. Two to a room cuts the expense by 1/2. Three to a room
cuts it by 2/3.

We have a roommate clearing house to help match potential roommates.

You can sign up for roommate matching when you register, or you can
access the roommate sign-up screen from that link you received to
update your registration.

If you do this in advance, include your name (obviously), your e-mail,
when you will be arriving and departing, whether you have a room and
need a roommate or are looking for space in one, what scale of room
(budget? luxury?), do you smoke, do you (knowingly) snore, and any
other information that will help Diane make a better roommate match
for you.

Two very important things to keep in mind regarding roommate matching.

First, this is for the purpose of saving money and for congenial
companionship only. If you want something else in a "roommate",
you are on your own, sorry.

Second, sharing rooms is entirely at your own risk. DLV organizers and
volunteers will not be responsible if somebody fails to show, fails to
make reservations, fails to make a room available, fails to settle up
financially, etc.
