Welcome and updates:

First of all, welcome to those who just registered or just joined
the list. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

There was no general mailing last week. From now until DLV you can
expect mailings to come out weekly, with special mailing being sent
mid-week if necessary.

We're now less than a month away from the big event. You can still
get in on things, but you will need to act now.

If you want to attend DLV, here's what you will need to do:

1. Be sure you know what DLV is and what DLV is not. If you are
hoping for a clone of FanFair or Southern Comfort, you will most
definitely be disappointed. :) Read the web site for info.

2. Register. You will need to register and validate by this
coming Thursday if you want to get in on the first round of
activity sign-up.

3. Make your travel and lodging arrangements, if necessary.
Don't procrastinate on this one! Prices are rising as I
speak (type). :)

Activity sign-up:

Toward the end of this coming week, everybody who holds a
validated registration for DLV will receive a special e-mail
which contains a link to the activity sign-up screen.

This is a one-stop-shop for all optional DLV activities which
require some kind of a sign-up, headcount, RSVP, or some kind
of a hoop-jump in order to participate.

Please be on the lookout for this e-mail and if you don't
receive it by Monday, April 2, please let us know.

For those who register/validate after this coming Thursday, you
will get yours within 4-5 days after your validation is processed.

For activities which have limited capacity, it will be first signed,
first served in most cases. Some may be first paid, first served.

In most cases, you can change your mind at any time just by filling
this out again.

Please let us know (dlv@geekbabe.com) if you have any difficulty
with the activity sign-up process.

One way to discreetly indicate to all that you are a DLV

For a real-life success story, two years ago one of our people
arrived in Las Vegas and had forgotten to bring the schedule
and contact information. She had no way to get in contact with
DLV and did not know where to go or how to meet the group.

She put on her DLV t-shirt and walked around the floor of the
Sahara casino until somebody else noticed her. Fortunately,
this was somebody who was on her way to the Welcome Celebration
and offered her a ride. :)

SO's, please join us for some great food and good conversation on
Thursday morning of DLV week at 11:30am!

We will be having an early luncheon at 11:30 am, at Maggiano's, at the
north end of the Fashion Show Mall. It is a classy New York-style
Italian restaurant with delicious food and a great view of the Strip!

We will be having a family-style menu with generous portions, so get up
early so you will be good and hungry! Cost without beverage will be
less than $20 per person. My experiences dining there have been superb
service with delicious food and gracious ambiance, so I hope you all
will enjoy it, too!

Schedule change:

To better balance the schedule, the English High Tea has been
moved to Thursday, April 26 at 3:00pm.

This means that those who are doing either Golf, the Art Tour,
or Ballroom Dance Instruction will be able to attend the High
Tea if they wish.

Thursday evening show - Love at the Mirage:

"Love", produced by Cirque du Soleil, has been selected as our
Thursday evening Pre-Limo-Tour show.

Love features the music of The Beatles, remixed and remastered,
and interpreted by the Cirque du Soleil troupe.

We will be attending the 7:00pm performance of Love on Thursday,
April 26, 2007.

Our Annual Limousine Tour will depart from the Mirage on Thursday
shortly after the Love show concludes. You may sign up for the
Limo Tour at activity sign-up time. (See notes in this mailing.)

First of all, my thanks to Christina at the Mirage box office,
who displayed the patience of a saint while I asked question upon
question.

Christina said that her favorite seats are in the orange section
($137.50), which afford a more complete view than sitting on the
floor ($165.00). The balcony seats ($102.85) are good, but are
almost sold out. The upper balcony ($75.90) are also good seats
as a cheaper alternative.

The $108.90 seats are closer to the floor, but are obstructed view
and are not recommended.

I have purchased my seat in section 209, Row P, Seat 12. This is a
$137.50 seat. The row is still wide open so if you want to sit in this
price range you should call the box office (800-963-9637 or local number
702-792-7777) and book seats in this row or row R behind it (the rows
below this one are mostly sold out / single seats). Be sure to ask for
Section 209.

If you would like the less expensive seating, the Upper Balcony ($75.90)
seats in sections 304 and 306 are all open. I would recommend you ask
for section 306 first which is on the same side of the auditorium as
209, then ask for 304 after 306 sells out.

You can cancel your ticket for a full refund up to 24 hours prior to
the performance.

I will be in the area outside the theater at 6 PM to greet attendees,
