Thanks, everybody:

Unless something unusual should happen, this will be the last
general mailing associated with DLV 2007.

All who are currently on the DLV 2007 mailing list will remain
on the mailing list for the 2008 season.

You can expect to receive mailings every month or two until the
end of 2007, depending on need.

On behalf of the DLV Organizers Group, I would like to say thanks
to all who helped to make DLV 2007 the highest-attended and one
of the most successful in history, and that includes each and
every one of you who attended.

Survey results posted:

The DLV 2007 Attendee Survey closed last Thursday and the results
have been posted in the DLV Discussion Forum.

As was expected, the event as a whole and most activities were
rated very highly.

The Yahoo group now mirrors the DLV Discussion Forum. Content is
the same on both. This was added as a convenience to those who
regularly access Yahoo Groups. It's open membership, and the

Night Of The Soiled Doves photos released:

The NSD 2007 photos have now been released by the facility staff
and now appear in the photo staging area.

All who attended DLV 2007 should have received the URL of the
photo staging area. If you attended DLV 2007 and did not, please
reply to this note, say so, and we will get it to you.

As with the other DLV photos, everybody has a reasonable number
of "NO WAY" requests or "vetoes" for any photos in which they
appear. The only exception to this is for the large group photos,
such as those taken at NSD just prior to entering the facility.

To send in removal requests, please e-mail: dlv@geekbabe.com and
state explicitly the photo number, which is the same as the URL
of the photo. Just bring up the photo you don't like in your web
browser, copy the contents in the location bar, and paste this
into your e-mail.

New volunteers:

We have close to 30 new volunteers this year, our largest response
to a Call For Volunteers in our history! Thanks to all who have
stepped forward to help make DLV all it can be!

Those who volunteered should have received an introductory message
to the DLV Organizers Group mailing list last Thursday. If you
volunteered to help out with DLV and did not get this, please
write in to: dlvorg@geekbabe.com and state that you did not
receive it.

Yes, our Call For Volunteers goes on in perpetuity. If you want to
help out, just e-mail: dlvorg@geekbabe.com and say so.

Call For Photos deadline, veto deadline:

Deadline for photos will be June 15, 2007. Photos may be sent in
via e-mail using file attach, web copy, FTP, or snailmail.

Please e-mail us (dlv@geekbabe.com) if you need FTP or snailmail
information.

Deadline for removal requests will be June 30, 2007.

All removal requests received as of Saturday, June 2, have been
processed.

Thanks to all who have sent in photos for this project.

ETA for the DLV 2007 follow-up web pages is mid July, 2007.

Dates for DLV 2008:

Although it's the better part of a year away, there's already talk
of DLV 2008 going on in the ORG group.

One set of dates which appears to have quite a bit of support is
Monday April 21th through Saturday April 26th.

These have not been officially proposed yet, but we invite comments,
both in favor of and against this timeframe.

You may make comments on this timeframe either in the DLV Discussion
Forum (http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dlvdisc/) or on the "dlvegas"
Yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dlvegas/).

Watch the general mailings for further goings-on regarding possible
dates for DLV 2008.

Pinkfest:

Can't wait for DLV 2008?

Think Pink!

Pinkfest, another "Vacation Not a Convention" happens each October
in Chicago.

Dates for Pinkfest 2007 have not been set yet, but will be in the
early summer of 2007.

Although Pinkfest is independent from DLV, it grew from the same
roots, and yes, if you attend Pinkfest you'll see some familiar
faces.
