All DLV correspondence sent in by Monday should be caught up. If you
sent in anything that asked for a response by Monday and did not get
a reply, please resend, as e-mail is not a perfect medium. If you

High Tea Update:

The venue announced for the English High Tea in the last general
mailing and in some preliminary schedules and itineraries is in
error. In fact, two bad locations were sent out at times for
this activity.

The English High Tea will be held on Friday, May 7, at 2:00pm at the
Cobblestone Corner Tea Room, Cafe and Bakery. Address and directions
will be sent in the Large Final mailing next week.

Several people have written in asking when they would receive their
schedules and/or locations for activities. A few notes on this:

1. Final schedule with detailed directions, maps, etc. will be sent
in the Large Final Mailing on Monday or Tuesday of next week. This
will be sent to everybody who holds validated and reconfirmed
registrations.

If you need an advance copy of any LFM material, please e-mail and
request this. Please be very explicit on what it is you want.

2. Detailed schedules are sent only to those who hold validated
registrations who have reconfirmed by making their activity selections.
If you do not hold a validated registration, or if you have not made
your selections, you will not be getting these items.

Latest projections:

If registrations were to stop now, our headcount projection would be
between 101 and 134 people total, with never the entire group in any
one place at any one time.

Drink orders for Limo Tour:

Tootsye writes:

I hope the girls will keep the drink orders fairly simple. We are
thinking, whiskey, vodka, rum, red wine and white wine. We can have
simple mixes such as club soda and tonic water available as well as
Seven Up. We It is just not possible to have a bar set up like Charles
at the Bellagio in the back of a Limo with six gorgeously dressed Divas.
We don't want to ruin any of those beautiful dresses by spilling drinks
on them.

As closely as possible, we hope to match up the different type
drinkers,i.e, wine drinkers in one, vodka, in another and whiskey in
another, etc. Oh! and the wine drinkers should not expect a French Gran
Crue either! This is a fun photo op, with a bunch of fun girls. It is
not a gourmet wine tasting! We are thinking a merlot for the red wine
and a white zin for the the white. Sorry, Annie, we do not have a
Galliano Limo this year!

We will try to accomodate any exceptions to the above, but it is very
difficult to manage on short notice and storage, etc, is limited in the
Limo. We can perhaps offer some beer if someone wants it, and of some
soft drinks will be available!

Pity Party payment update (and waitress needed):

We would like to clear up a misunderstanding which seems to have
surfaced regarding the Pity Party and the cost involved.

I will speak very openly here.

Some of our people apparently have the impression that those who either
appear in the show at the Pity Party or model fashions are excused from
payment.

This is not the case. It's never been stated or implied in any of our
material, and was never intended.

To those performing and modeling, we appreciate you doing so. You're
helping to make the Pity Party all it can be. We apologize if the wrong
information got to you, it was certainly not our intent, and it
certainly did not come from anybody with the authority to say so. We
hope you will understand why things have to be this way.

The Pity Party must break even. One of our goals this year is for no
volunteer activity coordinator to take a personal bath, as has happened
occasionally in the past. Running the numbers for the Pity Party show it
very close to the break-even point. For those attending, you're getting
a LOT of party for your $20! Therefore, if we allow some to attend the
Pity Party without charge, we must raise the cost for all others.

Another reminder, the activity sign-up for the Pity Party is a
reservation, and your payment (and attendance, of course) will be
expected. No cancellations after Tuesday of DLV week. No-shows and
no-pays will be assertively contacted for payment.

Everybody's understanding and cooperation is appreciated.

Now, we do have one exception to this rule. There will be one free pass
to the Pity Party given to someone who volunteers to act as a cocktail
waiter/waitress. Duties will include assisting the bartender in taking
and delivering drink orders, and possibly assisting the hostesses as
needed.

Pity Party Pass, please e-mail dlv@geekbabe.com
