We're just about there, gang! Everything is about all set.

Welcome to those who just registered or just joined the list. We're
going to have a very good crowd and a very good time! Please be sure
to catch up on the back mailings if you're new.

Yes, there is still time to get in on things. First thing you need to do

Do not hesitate on your travel and hotel reservations. Rooms are still
available at most of our suggested hotels, but prices are creeping
upward and those >NO VACANCY< signs will start showing up shortly.

If you have trouble finding a room, contact the Las Vegas Convention
and Visitors Authority:

Also, it is reported that Southwest Airlines (www.southwest.com) still
has good fares from many major cities to Las Vegas over the DLV dates.

General DLV Registration, which allows full participation in all
activities which have space, will close Wednesday, April 20.

On-line activity sign-up will close Thursday, April 21. Activity
selections made after about 11:00pm April 19 will not appear on your
itinerary in the Large Final Mailing.

Activities notes:

Everybody who registered before last Wednesday should have received your
activity sign-up mailing. Those who registered on Wednesday or after
should be getting them today. If you register and don't get this, please
let us know.

A few people who received an activities sign-up reminder last Wednesday
got one with a bad URL. These were resent. If you try your mailed URL
and it comes up with the old year 2004 screen, look for the one titled
"RESEND" or the original sent out April 1. If you can't find any of the
good ones, let us know and we will resend.

The Limo Tour is full, but the waiting list is not that long, and some
who were on the waiting list have already moved up. The important thing,
if you want to do the Limo Tour, is to sign up for it and get on the
list.

The combination of Little Girl Tea Party and Slumber Party on Monday is
approaching full. The Slumber Party alone is full. There is still
space available for the Little Girl Tea Party separately.

All other activities are expected to have space for all who want it.

Large Final Mailing:

On or around Wednesday, April 20 we will send out what we call our Large
Final Mailing to everybody who has completed the activity sign-up
process.

If you will be leaving home prior to April 20 and won't have access to
e-mail, please request an advance copy of this. You may request a copy
of this anytime from this day forward. The only caveat is that if you
get one in advance, last minute changes and announcements may not appear
on it.

At DLV we try to limit the number of dead trees that we hand you when
you check in. Most of the information that you'll need will be coming
to you in the Large Final Mailing.

The Large Final Mailing will include:

* Your personalized final activity selections and itinerary.
* Final detailed schedule of DLV activities.
* Very detailed directions to DLV activity locations.
* Link to a map of DLV activity locations.
* Link to visual directions (photos) of many DLV activity venues.
* Dress notes and dress suggestions for each major activity.
* Contact phone number and Big Sister Hotline number.
* Photography information.
* Various vendor/merchant discounts and promotions.

Also included are various hints and notes such as check-in instructions,
how to find the group at our locations, what to do if you have trouble
finding the group, etc.

You should read this material carefully and print out what you think you
will need. We will not be handing out any printed maps, schedules,
directions, etc.

Hint: Print out the LFM and read it on the plane! :)

Folies Seats update:

Aiko informs us that there are still a few seats left in booth 303 for
Thursday's Folies Bergere show at the Tropicana. If you want to see just
how good these seats are ...

Dress for Dance Instruction:

The Dance Instruction is intended to an informal learning experience
for the beginner, the novice or the learned one. The mode of dress is
optional to one's choosing, however the type of shoe worn is more
important than the rest. The shoes should be of a leather or slick type
since a gym shoe/tennis show would be too sticky to stay up with the
instructions.

Boy mode or girl mode does seem to be OK with the dance studio and it
might not hurt to know if you want to "lead" or "follow". One's clothing
should be comfy and appropriate for an afternoon out, but not as
restrictive as evening wear might be.

One could expect mostly footwork instruction, but of course, there is
bound to be armwork instruction, so a loose fitting top would be
fabulous.

Also, you can expect to work up a sweat (OK, a "dewy glow") so don't
wear something you'd normally wear to a club. The session is scheduled
for 1 hour but it's entirely possible it could surpass that easily. We
are getting some very good responses to this event and many are
wondering if we will be going to a club that will have dancing
available afterwards, so that we may practice what we learned.
Considering the Showgirls of Magic is scheduled that Wednesday evening,
any "free will dancing" will be loosely put together for after that DLV
event.
