DLV 2006 attendee survey:

The DLV 2006 follow-up survey is now on line. If you attended DLV 2006,
please take a few minutes and let us know how things went for you.

If you enjoyed things, please let us know. If you saw room for
improvement, please do likewise.

This is one of the most valuable things we have for following up on
the current year's event and planning next year's event.

Call For Photos continues:

Thanks to all who have sent in DLV 2006 photos so far. We will have a
very large collection documenting this year's event. Seven staging
directories are now on line, more photos are still in queue to be
processed.

If you attended DLV 2006 and have not received the URL to the staging
directories, please let us know.

As of this time, all "removal" requests have been processed. If you
send in any and still see the photos present, please let us know.

If you have photos you would like to share, please send them in.

Here are a few guidelines:

* The more the better. No, we can't promise that everything you send in
will be used on the final pages, but they more you send in, the better
the overall view of DLV 2006 will be.

* Any reasonably sane format. Of course, jp(e)g files with a reasonable
quality setting are preferred, but .gif, .bmp, .tiff, .png, or anything
else within reason is acceptable. If you wanna zip 'em or tar 'em, do
it, but it's not necessary. Hardcopy prints via snailmail are also fine
and these will be returned to you.

* The bigger the better, within reason. Original size if possible.
Bandwidth is cheap, the images are priceless. The web server has
utilities to normalize these to consistent size and contrast.

* Anything altered, faked, captioned, with a blurred face, blacked-out
eyes, or cut off head will not be used. Those are worse than no photo at
all, IMAO, that is. :)

You can get these to us by any of the following methods:

1. File attach via e-mail. This is probably the easiest for most of you.
Any sane format. This year we are able to accept binary attachments at
the main dlv@geekbabe.com address.

2. FTP. If you have a Windows-based PC and some kind of a network
connection, you already have everything you need for this. If you
wish to use this method, please e-mail dlv@geekbabe.com for the
host/login/password information plus very explicit instructions
for uploading your photos.

IF YOU HAVE DIFFICULTY USING THIS METHOD, PLEASE LET US KNOW AND WE
WILL ASSIST YOU.

3. Floppy disc or CDROM via snailmail. Send e-mail for the street
address to send these to. If you want them back, I will return.

4. Hardcopy prints via snailmail. Again, send e-mail for the street
address to send these to. I'll get them scanned and returned to you.
