Welcome:

Welcome to those who have just registered or just joined the list.

If you have not registered yet, this is your last opportunity
to register in time to get in on the first round of activity
sign-up. Activity sign-up is detailed below.

Although we usually announce "Last Call" for registration around
the middle of April, due to heavy registrations, you may consider
this notice to be "Last Call" if you wish to participate in a
number of our more popular activities which have hard capacity
limits, such as the Night Of The Soiled Doves and the Limo Tour.

Registrations which are validated after March 31 will receive
their activity sign-up mailings toward the end of the coming week.

If you have not registered, or have just registered, details on
what you need to do to attend are outlined in depth in last week's
mailing. This is in the list archives on the web at the url:

We do have a few validations which are outstanding. If you have
recently registered, please be sure you send in your validation
response.

If you responded to the validation e-mail and did not get either
a machine-generated confirmation, or a human-generated request
to *REALLY* read it and respond as indicated, please re-send, as
e-mail is not a perfect medium and humans are not perfect either.

Also, please don't get upset at a request to carefully re-read
the validation e-mail if your response is vague or in any way
indicates that you did not actually read it. It's very important
that you do understand what you are registering for and what is
expected of you!

Activity sign-up:

PLEASE READ THIS ITEM CAREFULLY AND COMPLETELY!

On Tuesday, April 1, everybody who holds a validated registration
for DLV 2008 will receive their activity sign-up mailing.

This will include a clickable link to the activity sign-up screen.

It is important that you expect this mailing and watch for it, and
let us know if it does not arrive before the morning of April 2 at
the very latest.

These are sent out in batches by roster order number, so returnees
can expect them in the morning and early afternoon of April 1 and
newcomers can expect them in the afteroon and evening of April 1.

IF FOR SOME REASON IT DOES NOT ARRIVE IN YOUR INBOX BY APRIL 2,
SOMETHING IS WRONG AND WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IT!

The activity sign-up process performs two very important functions.

1. It lets you tell us which of the many optional activities which
you wish to do.

2. It reconfirms your intent to attend DLV. It's for this reason
that we ask you to submit this form even if you wish to do none of
the optional activities.

You can change your mind and re-submit your activity selections
at any time. One very important feature is that your first "Yes"
response to any activity locks in your "place in line" for that
acvivity, so if you change your mind and later change your mind
back, your original "Yes" response is where you are on line in
regards to limited-capacity activities and waiting lists.

If you have any difficulty with the activity sign-up screen, please
let us know, the sooner the better. If you're not very computer
literate and can't figure it out, let us know, again, the sooner
the better, and we will help you out.
