Seriously, I was reminded tonite in a chat on line with SOMEBODY that
last year, following a conversation during DLV at Flex, I agreed that I
would jot down some notes on some of the various anecdotes, folk tales,
sea stories, etc., that have occurred over the years at DLV.

Some of these were very embarrassing at the time, but we have to admit
that we look back on them as fond memories.

Yes, I could recite a litany, beginning with the baggage mixup and the
7-11 incident in 1997, and ending with the various antics regarding the
DelMar Motel, skipping over the Galiano{sic} stories, of course.

No, I never forgot, and I've started to put together some notes on some
of these fair^H^H^H^Hfolk tales. I plan to put the first draft of this
on line shortly after DLV 2003.

But remember, gang, as we do DLV 2003, that these will be the "Good Old
Days" we will look back on tomorrow. :)

Oh, and BTW, according to Margeth, Galiano{sic} is consumed straight,
not mixed with anything. (on the way down, that is :)

Obviously Margeth has never had a Wooholly F*ck.

Yes, I know it is commonly mixed, but I was referring to the fact that
Margeth drinks it straight, and that was the method by which the folk
tale was started. I can remember one evening sitting two tables down
from Margeth and I could smell the stuff all the way from there.

From the DLV trivia quiz, question 12:

+12. The correct spelling of a very nasty flammable liquid is:

+a. Galiano
+b. Galliano
+c. Acetone
+d. Dimethyl hydrazine

Uh, I thought that was what she was doing at the DelMar. :)

{ducking, running, hiding} :) :) HHOK!

Believe it or not, that one crossed my mind...but I was gonna let
someone else say it. ;)
