For those that remember the LVL or Las Vegas Lounge,

There is a series on cable, currently on the military channel.

I just happened to be surfing the cable channels and was
watching, because it dealt with Las Vegas, called "City
Cops: Vegas Law and Order".

Its like the series "Cops"

There is a short segment that took the cop (the camera
crew was with) that the narrator said "to a place well known
for prostitution to the police "... or something close to
that phrase. As I was watching, it looked very familiar and
then it hit me, the parking lot in front of the LVL, and also some
scenes from the other side of that building, from of the inside
parking lot of the commercial center where there is a walkway
through the building to the LVL.

Apparently the cops were detaining three women, with their
faces hidden, dressed very in exotic clothing. One could tell
by the build of the body, that they could have been cd-ers or
ts-ers that was going to or leaving the bar, or could have
been some dancers from the LVL.

They were talking to these three ladies about the area being
a place for prostitution and drugs, and checking their ids.

All the cops then let them go, or left to answer to a more
serious call, which was a shooting,

The segment was very short.

That large, open parking lot is a known problem area. Business
owners are trying to get it cleaned up, but progress remains to
be seen. There was a plan from the city to repave the lot, and
improve the lighting.

Could anyone who had been there at night possibly argue that? Or is
that the place that redid its image?

Actually, Las Vegas Lounge was once a very respectable place. When
they first opened under current management in 1999, I was in LV on
business and got the grand tour, and the invitation to bring DLV
2000 in there, which we did.

For DLV 2000 it was a nice little neighborhood bar that had drag
shows regularly. In fact, I remember first meeting K-Y at LVL on
the last night of DLV 2000.

Then in 2001 it all changed! I think the remark of "Lap dancing
sluts and drooling perverts" says it all.

I haven't been in there since 2004, and it was nasty then!

I sure don't want to be in there when it falls!
