Survey.
This report covers the comments received in the survey responses.
Some items have been moved to a more appropriate section.
Thanks again to all who took the DLV 2021 survey!

Restroom comments:
I used the restroom that went with my presentation. Non-issue.
. . . . .
I attempted to go in the men's restroom dressed as a woman, so I would
not offend the women in the women's restroom. A custodian escorted me
out of the restroom. I prefer using a family restroom, but they are
very few of them and hard to locate.
. . . . .
Scared to use them at first but became at ease.
. . . . .
Some bigot
The usual
. . . . .
Activity suggestions:
Activities where we can meet others are the best. Pickleball, mini
golf,. Stay away from loud venues and have small group activities.
. . . . .
Limo Tour
. . . . .
Spinsor for event should be available. Bowling sponsor did not show up.
(Had fun anyway!)
. . . . .
How about having DLV to coincide with Las Vegas Pride next year. We
could even work as a group to do a float or march in a DLV group with
our own banner that reads "Diva Las Vegas - It's a vacation nor a
convention"
. . . . .
I like having a variety of activities that are no only centered around
drinking. Some classic events that I miss include: Soiled Doves, Red
Rock Hiking, Line Dancing, more live music. I love opportunities to
dance in general.
. . . . .
Sincere thanks to everyone who makes DLV possible!
. . . . .
Combined events with Wildside were fun and educational. Lets consider
doing more of this.
. . . . .
The hostess at Ruth Cris was a total bitch. I was late but she would
not even listen, would not let me even get a table for one. Let me know
very well that my only option was to go away
. . . . .
Top Golf. Gun range. ( It would be so cool to fire wearing a miniskirt
and high heels ... but long pants and closed-toe shoes may be
required.) Exotic cars.
. . . . .
It would be nice to continue having it around Halloween. The
temperature is absolutely perfect this time of year.
. . . . .
I needed to withdrawal from some activities I signed up for but when I
try to do that online I was told the registration wass over and I
couldn't figure out how to withdraw from those particular activities
online. I did contact the hosts individually for each activity I was
unable to attend.
. . . . .
1. More daytime activities -- like museums, tours, sightseeing, etc.
2. Yoga/pilates -- I think this would especially appeal to younger girls
(I am not one!) and spouses. Also a good offset to the alcohol focus of
some other events.
3. I wanted to go to Erotic Heritage Museum but it conflicted with
dinner so did not go.
4. Some more elegant/dressy options -- like fancy bars/restaurants.
. . . . .
I lack that kind of imagination
. . . . .
How about an improv or comedy club
. . . . .
I am unavailable in the spring so I hope there is a fall event so I can
attend.
. . . . .
You need to allow cash payments for events.
. . . . .
Have it off strip Easier for people that drive to Vegas n cheaper.
. . . . .
I like to join the team this was my third diva ut was different bot as
good I figured covid caused change but activities were stacked and some
low attendance based on the number of girls who attended both diva and
Wildside should have not been the same week either
. . . . .
To much bad-mouth and put-down against one person. Your not impressing
anybody doing this.
. . . . .
New venue suggestions:
I think a walk through of some the more interesting venu s would be fun.
Bellagio had a beautiful display, tour the Eiffel Tower, behind the
waterfall at mirage, shopping at fashion mall or shops at caesars,
skyline at New York, backstage at cirque de soleil.
. . . . .
I ate at my hotel's restaurant later in the evening when I started to
get comfortable I was accepted.
. . . . .
Phoenix Lounge, an off the strip gay bar, VWS event, great band and
dancing, comfortable group with many locals too.
. . . . .
Saw Transmission at Flex after WeBeWednesday and it was great!
. . . . .
Friends and I went to Don Vito's restaurant at South Point and Carson
Kitchen just off Fremont St and we were well received at both places.
. . . . .
I went to Club Pirhana on Saturday night. That is a GREAT dance venue
and as a gay bar, was completely accepting of me. It might be a fun
place to organize a get together for folks that might like to do some
dancing.
. . . . .
Yes
. . . . .
RuPaul drag show
. . . . .
1. Wildside Pool Party was very fun. DLV should consider adding.
. . . . .
The burger place in the Bally mall.
. . . . .
Local clubs
. . . . .
Went to Flex to watch Transmission.
. . . . .
Attended only bahama my roomie and i ate at hotel restuarants we stayed
dancing i wanted to do we went to flex and Freezone bars to dance no
diva dance parties
. . . . .
Sunday Drag Brunch at Jimmies
. . . . .
Some casinos offer how to game sessions to learn how to play craps,
roulette, pai gow, etc. might be fun as a group.
. . . . .
Cirque du Soleil
. . . . .
General comments:
The only drawback is the crowds. I have no problem going public but
working your way through crowd is tough. I think a speeddatingbtype of
activity would be fun, maybe at Bahama breeze. Form 2 lines and just
say hi for 10!seconds. Easy to do and lots of fun.
. . . . .
I was not able to attend in person, but I was there in spirit. Speaking
of spirits, where is all the Galliano?
I hope everyone had fun. Maybe next year, Annie.
. . . . .
A bit confusing on directions WITHIN the event venues (eg to the
pickleball courts within Bally's etc)
. . . . .
Have a quieter place for the opening meet and greet. I had a very hard
time hearing anyone at the event and made it hard for me to socialize.
I was part of the big sister little sister program. It would be nice if
during the meet and greet you could have a section for us to meet each
other. I was not able to meet my big sister and was not aware of many
other activities on which I could meet other girls to just talk and get
to know.
. . . . .
I attended from a distance so to speak to see what it would be like and
look forward to being more involved next year. I like the idea of a big
sister and enjoying more the social time.
. . . . .
I think the check-in process was not well organized. My biggest
suggestion is that the name tags should be prepared ahead of time for
those who signed up ahead of time. I finally gave up in getting one
because it was very unorganized, and I got tired of waiting (20-25
minutes) with no sure idea if I would ever get one or not. At other
conferences I have gone to you just show up to check-in and give your
name, get your goodie bag and name tag and you're off.
. . . . .
Thank you I felt so comfortable letting my female side out
. . . . .
I enjoyed the balance between Wild Side and DLV. DLV generally does a
fantastic job of organizing the day and meals. Wildside does a great
job of organizing late night bar events. Vegas did still feel subdued
this week due to COVID with many restaurants and locations still closed,
but it was still amazing to see everyone and feel a little return to
normalcy.
. . . . .
Don't have music at the big events. Gurls want to chitchat without
having to shout
. . . . .
The banquet dinner at The Italian-American Club was fun and it was
definitely an opportunity to meet others but I thought it was
over-priced as compared to going to a restaurant on my own. Having said
that, it has been well over a decade since I arranged a banquet so I
have no idea if this is a competitive price or not.
I am pleased that DLV insisted that participants must be vaccinated, and
I assume all were vaccinated, as we were in places where we were not
physical distancing and not wearing masks.
. . . . .
I would definitely attend if it continues to be in the fall
. . . . .
My partner could not attend because of a sudden family emergency and I
was less interested in attending by myself.
. . . . .
Please eliminate the music at large events. Too loud and the gurls just
want to visit and chat.
. . . . .
A million thanks to the volunteers who made this possible!
. . . . .
How about this. Charge $1 for a printed name tag. Cut down on the line
for nametags be printed. Pring them at home and save $1.
. . . . .
That award ceremony was poor. After all she's done she deserves more
than a few cheap jokes. Poor girl! Looked uncomfortable and it showed.
. . . . .
When you say missed due to Covid, do you mean just skipped it entirly or
planned to be there and decided to skip it?
. . . . .
very very very friendly girls
house party was the absolute best
. . . . .
I am unavailable in the spring so I hope there is a fall event so I can
attend.
. . . . .
Hey, how about at registration, do two lines, one for check in only and
another for name tags which takes all the time.
Also, turn down the music at the big events!
. . . . .
Thank you for your leadership and support for us.
. . . . .
Need to do registration somewhere that has free parking. $15 parking is
too much to just register.
. . . . .
Very well organized event. easy to sing up, easy to keep up and
questions answered very easy going no bs
. . . . .
to many of the lunch booth vendors were closed or had limited choices,
not a very good selection
. . . . .
thank you all very well run
. . . . .
With all the hub-bub about vaccine certificates, I was never asked for
it. Also, where do you go for a covid test?
. . . . .
Thank you so much for putting on this event. It was a fantastic!
. . . . .
My first DLV was disappointing and by Thursday I did not even want to
attend any events or go do anything. I had a couple of NON-DLV issues
and add to that I struggled to locate some events (daily social) and
other events I did attend only had 2-3 people. I found myself very
alone. In hindsight I should have gotten a Big sister.
. . . . .
Liked: Efficient registration, calendar options. Did not like the fact
that you could not do some events without credit card.
. . . . .
Next year choose a hotel with free parking!!!!!!!!!!!
. . . . .
Just want to help in organizing diva 2022 be retired can help attended
diva 2001 diva 2012 and this one
. . . . .
Apparently the events I signed up for were unpopular, since few showed
up, less than half who signed up. Showed up at 145 for check-in and no
one there, so no name tag. If COVID was such an issue, why were vac
cards not asked for any time. Never saw anyone on Halloween on Fremont.
Only there because I am always there on Halloween. Would not attend if
at any other time based on this experience.
. . . . .
The bowling event was cancelled but I did not receive any warning it was
cancelled. It sounds like there were multiple calendars which caused
some confusion.
. . . . .
DLV 2019 was my first public event. That made it special. Its
remarkable that DLV 2020 took place and it was also a fun experience.
I don't drink much alcohol and it seems that it a significant part of
many events.
The DLV-Wildside event didn't feel welcoming, despite opening comments.
As is often the case, people seemed to stick with their friends. It was
a nice effort to reconcile, but I wouldn't attend again. For such
mediocre food it was way overpriced.
. . . . .
In the future, please select a hotel with free parking.
. . . . .
music to loud
. . . . .
Bring back limo tour. Bring back Soiled Doves.
. . . . .
The inability to get nametags & rare use of them is annoying. I missed
the Bahama Br....event on Tues & never had an opportunity to get my name
tag. Many others did not have them or wear them. Annoying
(Entered as a restroom comment)
. . . . .
I wish gurls would keep wearing name badges throughout every event. You
forget names.
