To make a long story short, the person who was trying to encourage
t-business no longer works there, it's now no more relevant than any of
hundreds of other smaller bars and cafes in the area. It's no longer of
particular interest and was dropped from the list.

If you want a nice place to go and have a drink, I would put in a plug
for Zingers, which does encourage TG business.

Now, to make a long story long ... :) Zodies is and was a nice little
neighborhood bar with an attached informal eatery serving wings and
stuff. Back last fall the then-manager (or maybe some other employee)
wanted to encourage the TG community to come there as a means of
increasing business. The word of this spread and we added it to the Big
List and checked it out as a possibility of having a group gathering
down there for DLV 2005.

In November, the person who encouraged the TG business either quit or
was fired.

Not knowing of this fact, I and a couple were in Las Vegas for a concert
in late November and we dropped by Zodies to check it out, have a few
drinks, and get something to eat.

We felt no negative vibes at all there. The drinks were strong, the
service was friendly, and the food was good.

My feeling still is that it's a good place for anybody to go if you want
a few drinks and a plate full of wings. I'm sure if you dress and act
appropriately, they will welcome your business.

My sentiments also, about Zodies. It's just a little hole-in-the-wall
cafe and bar. There isn't any reason to go there, or not to.

But do we have to worry about getting bashed if we go there?

Probably not, but there are no guarantees in this world. :)

With rare exception, if you dress and act as a lady or gentleman,
whichever you prefer, you will be treated as such. My impression of
Zodies was just that.

Those who "scream tranny", dress inappropriately, or who come off with
an in-your-face attitude probably would not be welcome.

Unfortunately, there are those who have worn costumes like that in
mainstream, and have embarrassed the other DLV attendees.

If you wear a little girl dress and MaryJanes, or a Southern Belle dress
and a parasol, anything could happen.

If you go in a PVC minidress, 9" spike heels, swastika earrings, big
hair, and carrying a riding crop, be sure to take a picture for me.

Some people say my hair is "big", and I didn't get bashed! :)

Of course I left the riding crop back in the room. :)
