Count me in as a T-shirt customer! I'm still looking for a replacement
for the one my dog ate in 1999. ;(

I guess the Alpo flavoring is a bad idea, huh? :)

But seriously, I don't know if this will happen or not, since the number
of definite and probably responses is close to the minimum of what the
printers want. Many of them have a minimum per size, which is a pain.

A local art house here will do them for a minimum of about 30, IIRC,
mixed sizes, 2-color silkscreen for $15.

Many places will do the same thing for around $12 with a 50 minimum per
size, which is probably not within striking distance for us.

What I REALLY would like, but it would be more expensive, is to have
them done on one of those X-Y embroidery machines. Those can be quite
colorful and last longer than those done with silkscreen. I know of one
place here that does these, and they charge by the number of stitches.
My guess would be around $20 each in small quantities for something
like the "Jellomold" logo.

Now that I think of it, I remember a booth up toward the front of the
Fantastic Indoor Swap Meet where they were making t-shirts with one of
those X-Y machines. Like an idiot I didn't think of asking them about
their pricing. Something like that might be an option for those who want
them next year, as I could give them the original artwork either in
hardcopy form or on disk.

Hmmmm ... I wonder if there would be more of a demand for a nicer
embroidered shirt than there would be for the usual inked silkscreened
shirt?

If you (or anybody) wants to do some photoshopping, they now have some
fairly decent transfer paper that can be used to apply such artwork to
shirts and the like.

Until recently these tended to have weak saturation and did not last,
but the later ones are much better.

Of course they work best on light fabric with artwork that has vivid
darker colors with good saturation.

Now if you're thinking a quality T-Shirt with embroidered logo, then I'd be
in for that....

I guess the logo would be along the lines of:

"DLV sponsored in part by Galiano
Nun is better!"

With a picture of Densie holding the Galiano at the CR as the picture?

Might work!

Hugs

Hi Annie!

If it was a small embroidered design on the top left corner of a nice
top like a polo, tunic, shirt, or some thing like that, I'd be willing
to get at least one, whatever the cost breakdown is is per shirt.

It'll be worth the price, and I can mail you the check if pre-payment
and number of items to order is needed to make it work.

Then again, if the same design was silkscreened on a nice top, I'd be
willing to get at least one, whatever the price is also.

...or even maybe embroidered or silkscreened baseball, boonie, or
tennis caps? Esp for those going on future safari type adventures during
the day (ie Rhyolite, shopping, etc) in the hot shiny Nevada sun...

"Less is More" -- As I hear the feedback---the design that is a
attractive, meaningful, and an understatement will be the winning
combination... So who will be the graphic designers in the group who
will step up to "the plate" and present their designs so that we all
can vote on the Diva '05 Event Logo!!???

Not a bad idea. They may not want the image, but if they'll give us
money...

> With a picture of Densie holding the Galiano at the CR as the picture?

Too funny! I could also see just adding the Galliano bottle to the DLV
image.

Annie?
