Any comments about Caitlin Jenner?

My only comment is I wish I looked that good.I could only dream I would look that good at 65.

Ok, I'll bite. :)

This is obviously the most high-profile transition in the history of our community!

It's also some of the best media coverage we've ever had, with most of it being positive and supportive. Even our local Faux 42 put a positive spin on their story. The only negative items I've seen are from some of the "usual suspect" assh^H^H^H^Hpundits.

Let's talk about the photo, and I assume you're referring specifically to the Leibovitz Vanity Fair shot that anyone who is not hiding behind a rock has seen. :) (Yeah, I'm approaching that age too, and I admit I'm envious.) :(

That particular shot is the best of the best of the best, meaning most likely hundreds of shots over several costume changes and most likely over several sittings. You have a very good photographer who is a celebrity herself, backed up with a studio MUA staff and I'm sure a whole crew for lighting. In addition there's a lot of post-processing (spelled "p-h-o-t-o-s-h-o-p") in there too. :) If you compare that studio shot with recent tabloid shots you'll see more evidence of age in the neck and the facial lines.

It will be very interesting to see the real-life shots. I'm sure all of the tabloids have their staff photogs and stringers staking out Ms. Jenner 24x7.

Yes, it is a beautiful make-over, but the bigger suggestion is the possibility of someone over 65
not only coming out, but also planning the surgery, too. Shows that age really doesn't make a difference.
Grats to Caitlyn and all the other fabulous women of our community.

Manslaughter charges dropped a while ago.

Now there's a petition to strip Jenner of the Olympic medal.

Do you think Ouesterhout did the facial surgery.

Still a very good picture. At least at one time, Jenner was a heavy smoker and that is really bad for the lines on your face.

Jerks! :(

That might be my first guess. He's the closest, geographically, that I know of. Could also be Zukowski, Spiegel, Denenberg, or any of a few others, but they are all 1500+ miles away. Apparently the FFS was done some time ago (as in March) and was somewhat traumatic. My guess is that the surgeon was and still is under a non-disclosure agreement.

As I understand it, the IOC has said they will not be entertaining the
petition. My one hope is this situation, which could do us all some
good, doesn't just devolve into another version of the Karadashian
reality circus.

Well, they do have a "series" planned.

If the Jenner-approved media coverage we've been seeing is anything of a harbinger of what's to come, the series should be tasteful and accurate from the perspective of the contemporary views of our community. At least I hope so.

I'm hoping that the exposure will generate more positive public exposure and perhaps bring out some sleepers such as Transparent into prominence.
