This is another in what has become a long series of daytime mainstream
cultural events during DLV and should be memorable. This year we visit
the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art on Thursday afternoon to see the
exhibit "Fabergi Revealed". Czar Alexander III wanted a perfect gift
for his 20th wedding anniversary and commissioned the House of Fabergi
to do something FABULOUS.
The result was the first Imperial Easter Egg, decorated with precious
metals, stones and hidden surprises. The collection on display at the
Bellagio is made up of 238 items, including 4 eggs and many other items
decorated in the same high and very expensive style. There will be
history and even examples of Fauxbergi items that were counterfieted,
some with the same materials and precision as the orginals.
This is a mainstream activity and dress is daytime casual or business
attire, no club or fetishwear please, we want others to be able to focus
on the great art, not us, at this event. While we don't necessarily
enter as a group, we can meet in the space in front of the gallery.
Signup is encouraged for headcount but there is no limit on numbers
attending. See the website for a little more info and images:
