Flying tips and experiences !

This year as in the past I am planning on hitting the runway in Vegas
dressed and ready to party !

I have flown dressed now about 12 times with no incidents of any kind. I
don't profess to pass in the least and besides, what fun could that be ?

I do posses an Official State of Florida photo ID card that I got at the
drivers license office and has my femme photo on it. The rest of the
information must be truthful.

A T Girl I know who passes very well went to the D.L. office in her
state and got hers. She has on of those names like Pat, Chris, Jerry.
The clerk at the D.L. didn't think anything of it and gave her an "F"
instead of an "M".

Pretty cool, cept that's a felony if she is ever questioned about it.
She'd probably weasel out of it at court, but if you read my bathroom
posting please refer to the part about Orange jumpsuits and cost of
lawyers.

Common sense, don't carry any spray cans, nail polish remover, matches,
lighters, hand grenades etc.

Might not want to pack chocolate in your bags or carry it on unless it's
clearly visible. Chocolate has the same properties as some explosives
and will cause closer inspections of your property.

Most airlines are not hand inspecting check-in bags, Once those go thru
the X-RAY machine and are cleared, they go right into baggage. If you
have Ladies things checked in these bags, and they do check them, heck
your already at your gate probably by then.

The key here is at GATE SECURITY.......VASTLY IMPROVED since 911( and
airport managers wanna go back to the old way) I have never had a
problem at the check point dressed

Dressed as a BOY or GIRL, minimize your exposure to inspection !

When I'm dressed I wear plastic ear rings and necklace. I don't put
wrist jewelry or rings in until I'm past gate security, keeping them
handy in a zip lock bag in my purse.

I gleefully take off my shoes and have them xrayed, besides, I loved
showing off my freshly painted toes and it's a nice break from the
heels.

Caution about under wire Bras,corsets, waist nippers or any such device.
It will set off the machine and these people are clueless to what the
heck it is that keeps setting off their magnetometer wands. The only way
for them to check is a visual inspection.

When directed to walk through the MAGNETOMETER and you don't have one of
those fashionable belts with a large metal buckle or one of those huge
cowboy belt buckles that would deflect a RPG rocket propelled grenade.
Take it off in advance OR do what I do, cover you belt area with both
hands. This will cause the object to be LESS sensitive. ALSO, walk thru
the magnetometer kinda sideways. The closer you get to the walls of the
machine the more the magnetic waves are disrupted by metals you have on.
( An American Airlines Pilot who is T/S offered me this advice )

Use common sense about what your packing in your carry-on. Still not
sure? Call your airline or check it in your baggage.

ABOVE ALL ! SMILE, Be POLITE, Be Courteous, Co- Operate ! Remember
all you wanna do is get on the damn plane, not become some Air Travel
rights Activist.

A little footnote.........I have been challenged several times at the
Gate check-in....the screeners keep finding what they believe a Martial
Arts throwing star in my purse........LOL that opens their eyes a little
when they take a closer look and see what's in my wallet......

I haven't been on a commercial airline for years, but I'm sure I would
get the total BCS if I tried it. I have long hair and a metal plate in
my neck.

I would just as soon drive or go private plane anyway...it takes longer,
but you get some time to look at the scenery, and it forces you to take
a long enough vacation to clear your head from work.

Of course Michelle in NZ can ignore that remark. ;)
