Hi all,

I've been traveling as Gina for many years, both before and after my
name and gender change. If you are still stuck with a male name while
presenting in your appropriate gender, many states will allow you to
obtain an ID card with a picture of you in the other gender, with your
original name.

I have never had any issue with security. Be respectful and realize
they have a job to do, no matter how much that job annoys you, and you
will be treated with respect. Have an attitude, and trust me they will
too, that is part of their security escalation plan. If you want a
private screening ask for it, but it really isn't necessary, they do not
wish to embarrass you, just get you through as quickly as possible while
"ensuring public safety"... I know I feel more secure, excuse me while
I gag...

Nothing you do or are will surprise them, they really have seen it
all...

Gina
