With all the club changes and closings where would people recommend I go for a night out in Las Vegas now?

name of it. I didnt ge there myself but heard great things, also if you

I went to Paris Cabaret club, Paris hotel on Wed.,10/30/13. It was fun and we danced a bit.
The band played 'olde skool' tunes. I liked their sound.
Valet parking was convenient and I just gave the attendant $2 when He brought my car back.
Hope this helps.

Well, there's always the Escape Lounge at 4213 West Sahara (near Arville) and Club Metro at 1000 East Sahara (near Maryland Parkway). Both are gay clubs but seem to welcome transvestites too. I've been to both, but prefer the Escape Lounge where I went for Halloween by myself and had a great time. They have karaoke on Sundays and Thursdays. (Note: Halloween was on Thursday.)

As of this point in time, I'm unaware of any place in the LV area which is the defacto "hangout" for TG folks.

The trend, as has been the past several years, is toward the mainstream, both in terms of shopping and for entertainment.

> we had a wonderful time at PARIS... though it was costly.

I've been to the Cabaret Lounge many times, both solo and with others. When I'm in the LV area on business and have a free evening I'll often drop by.

That's the Blue Ox, and it's listed on our Big List under food. There are two of them listed and the one everybody's been talking about lately is the one on west Sahara. They are all owned by the same family and all of them should be perfectly "safe" and TG-friendly.

> also if you are looking for a gay club I hear Flex is pretty good

As for alternative bars, Flex is good and so is Escape, as noted in another posting. Club Metro is new and in the same site as the old Keys/Zingers/Crewsn. I haven't had the chance to drop in yet, but I will as soon as I can just to check it out. Initial reports are good.

Freezone seems to be on the good list again. We got a very warm welcome there last April.

And, there's always Goodtimes. :)

That's the Blue Ox. The one that's been talked about recently (there are three in the area) is the one on Sahara just east of Jones. It's about 1 1/2 miles west of Studio Lites. It's on the south side of Sahara in a shopping area. Your landmark will be a big Burlington Coat Factory shop.

Club Metro is very nice. Completely remodeled and the owner is very
nice. T Girls always welcome. November 24 is Transgender Day of
Celebration at The Center 4pm to 6pm followed by party at Club Metro
with drink specials and some food. Club Metro has happy hour 9 am to 9
pm. Nice rest rooms.

The Garage on Flamingo is a very nice gay bar. T Girls welcome. Usually
see a few g grils and some L girls. Nice rest rooms and some food
available.

Fun Hogg Ranch on Twain is nice but "rustic". Popular. The Sisters
host a fund raiser there every month. T Girls welcome.
Always see some g girls and some l girls. Rest rooms are awful!

Best restaurants are Komol near the Spotlight lounge and Paymonds on
Maryland just south of Flamingo near the Univ.

Hi All,

I guess I just don't get this thread. The answer is simple, go where
ever you want and where all the other people visiting Las Vegas go, to
the fun places. Gay bars suck, other places may be more expensive, but
they are worth it. Las Vegas is probably the safest place to be
"different", it's so normal there, that you won't even feel weird. Many
years ago, I would have been (and were) more worried and scared, today,
no worries. I even attend most of the shooting industry events there
and nobody, even the southerners even seem to care. Your money is as
good as anybody else's and the whole idea of Las Vegas is to make you
leave as much money as possible there, it's almost like a civic duty.
There are a lot of us that left the seedy gay bar circuit and moved into
the mainstream 10 years ago or so and in some sense we were the
trailbrazers, so take advantage of it and get out and have some real
fun, in the really nice places, not the smoke filled dark dives of the
triangle (its been so long that I'm not even sure if that is what it is
called) and the other places.

Thanks for all the advice. I am travelling alone on this trip so I was looking for alternatives.

I have been to Paris but never alone. Its not the establishment that make me cautious its the 20 year olds who have to prove they are "men" and even in Vegas things can get ugly when you are solo.

Thanks again
